Trying to implement all the suit suggestions at once.

Took all the suggestions for tights, lower shoes, and a different shirt.

1 - skirt is 2" above the knee

2 - skirt lowered to graze knee

3 - the different colors of shirts suggested.

Please excuse the hair, as I have been in and out of too many tops today.

Oh, the tights look so good, Rae! (Not that bare legs didn't - you have the best ones!) I like the shoes, I like the bag, and I like the cobalt shirt the best, but that's just my opinion. I'm so happy you found this suit!

The tights make such a difference. I like it at both lengths. I like all of the tops with a slight preference for #3.

I love all of the shirts in this post but especially the cobalt one. You look great!

The other (longer) suits, while quite nice, made you look like a banker, which sort of defeats the purpose of leaving the bank job.

Otherwise, which do YOU feel most fab and confident in? That is really ALL that matters here. Confidence comes across in an interview. Trust your instincts. Go with your gut.

You have the most amazing smile ever. And ProTip: the first 5 seconds are what matters. Flash that smile. Exude confidence. Give firm handshake. All the rest is gravy... the interviewer will make decision in those first 5 seconds...

SO much better this way, Rae. I was on Team Skirt is Too Short for an Interview - but with hose, this is totally appropriate. Also prefer the black pumps sans platform.

Thank you to *everyone* who stuck through this entire saga. My head is so full of interview studies it's like I've lost capacity for independent thought (hopefully not something I decide to blurt out on Friday).

Rae - #2 is SOOO much better! Do feel good about it? The darker hose and lower heels are also key to your look. You'll rule the interview!

Another vote for #2 (longer) and the cobalt top (gorgeous!). I hope you're able to get a little more length with the seam ripper, too

The skirt looks great with the darker hose, I'm sold, even at length #1. I would not fidget with it to keep it at length #2, if it rides up while you are interviewing, so be it. I pick up IMMEDIATELY when someone I'm interviewing is fidgeting with their clothes, so do my colleagues, it is very distracting. As far as tops, it's hard to choose, they all look sharp and fun. Good luck, you look great and will do great.

I have let out the hem all the way, and it now grazes the knee no problem, no fidgeting required. If you look close you can see the serge on the edge of the fabric, but I don't think anyone will *quite* that closely at my knees. planning to leave it be unless the idea of a non-turned-under hem horrifies you guys.

Rae, this suit looks great on you! The tights and cobalt blouse spiff up several notches and letting down the hem will finish the picture. If you haven't already accomplished it, or perhaps later on, it would be worth considering:

Take the skirt to a tailor and have the hem faced about 2 or 2.5 inches with a luxurious fabric, maybe heavy satin or brocade, or something similar to the sleeve fabric. Solid black would be good, but making a facing will give the hem a more substantial weight and add a couture touch which you will enjoy wearing. It also will solve any skimpiness at the hem from possibly letting out all the material available.

Rae I just saw your suit in person during my lunchtime break at Winners (see post on new purse) she sheepishly says.
I think it is fab for you and wanted to also say the pictures do not do the material justice. It is so beautiful - soft and gorgeous! Great find!
