Nordstrom lounge pants - Not shown, but these are a no-brainer. I sized up, and they're perfect. Keep.
Good American dark wash skinny jeans - Wearing these in all the photos below. Surprised, but I think I actually like the other ones better. Keeping in mind that I'm 5'9" and slightly short-waisted with a long rise, I don't understand these jeans. They're supposedly high-waist, but it only takes one trip up and down a staircase before the waistband drops to below my belly button, and the crotch looks like I'm wearing harem pants. These are less stretchy than the light wash, so even though I have a size down (of both) on order, I'm skeptical the smaller size in this style will fit over my thighs. Return.
Eileen Fisher Stripe Scarf - Really lovely, but maybe not quite as useful as the Halogen scarf. On the other hand, maybe more useful in a warmer climate? I caved and ordered a third scarf to try (the one Angie called the second-best in the sale...I didn't like the color-blocking on the one she rated highest). I'll have to have a scarf showdown when everything is here. Still deciding.
Eileen Fisher Ankle Strap Shoes - I like the way these look for the most part (jeans turned up to show the shoes), but they're just not quite right. The pewter color is a little too gray for my wardrobe, and the elastic ankle straps are a bit too tight. They're also a tiny bit too narrow for my toes, though that's probably within the break-in range. A lot of not-quites equal a... Return
Halogen Double-Breasted Blazer - I'm confused again. Is this how this is supposed to fit? The shoulder pads are right about at the edge of my shoulders and, if you look at the side view, I don't think a size down would close comfortably. I prefer black for my wardrobe, but the pinstripe is better in every other way. That one feels like a really lovely flannel, where the black is a stiff, unnatural-feeling polyester. For some reason, the black seems to hang better open, while the pinstripe looks better closed, but that could just be quirks of the photos. I could be convinced otherwise, but probably... Return.
(ETA: I just discovered that the sleeve buttons on these are non-functional. Not being able to easily roll/scrunch the sleeves probably makes the blazers a no-go for me...I'm not even sure how they managed that in the stock photo of the pinstripe one.)
