I have receiveded three boxes of sale items and am still waiting on a couple items. Here is what I think so far:
1. Zella live in joggers, performance tee and Amazing Fleece full zip hoodie- The hoodie is a bit roomy. It has nice zippers on the side and is so very soft. The joggers are silky and very comfy. Overall, I am very happy with these. I ordered the smaller sized hoodie for comparison. It's on the way...
2. Nordstrom Cashmere Crewneck sweater. Maybe I need this one size larger? I'm also not sure about this color and find myself wishing I had ordered the purple. It's currently sold out in both the pink and purple in size medium. I'm wearing this with my JBrand wide leg jeans. Maybe I should try a different pair of jeans? Lower waisted...these are very high waisted.
3. Nordstrom Pleat detail cotton poplin button up shirt- LOL...not for me but I thought I would show everyone. This is the size small and it's HUGE in the shoulders and torso. If I went down a size the sleeves would be too short. Returning....

I'm wearing this with the Veronica Beard Beverly Yoke Front wide leg jeans indigo rinse. What do you think of the jeans?
4.Boss Janorda Double Breasted Blazer in two sizes. I really want to love this because I love the color and the style however to get sleeves that fit I need the size 8 and it's obviously too wide for me. It may be hard to see in the picture however the size 6 sleeves are about a half an inch too short. Neither size fits me very well around my shoulder/arm so this one is probably going back. I am waiting on the trousers. It may work well for someone who doesn't have a small and long frame like mine or someone who likes oversized fits.
5. VB Fabiola Plaid Crop Blazer and Tonelli Plaid Cotton and Wool Wide leg pants ---this jacket fits so much better than the Boss jacket. It feels nice and I can move my arms properly. I'm not sure about the cropped length. It is a bit roomy but not too bad. I can move easily, sit comfortably, etc. It probably needs a brighter camisole than the lavender I chose for try ons!
6. Better pictures of the VB Yoke Front jeans paired with a non sale item. Rag&Bone Icons Maxine Stripe Button-Up Shirt. I like the fit and color of the stripes. It looks large in the shoulders from the back but it isn't too bad. Much better than the white Nordstrom top!
7. The VB leather dickey jacket with the Dickey's and the VB Yoke jeans.
8. Barbour raincoat layered over the leather Blazer. Plenty of room! Smaller size is on the way.
9. On sale at Nordies but not part of NAS, VB Royce stretch cotton pants and Amika stretch cotton vest.

I’m not sure if you are asking ‘keep/return’ but the leather VB jacket is * chef’s kiss*. I love, love, love the ‘matched set’ in the last pics. The colour is amazing on you. There’s something a little odd at the back waist of the vest, though, and I’m wondering if it’s something a tailor can sort out? Otherwise - perfection!

Yes, other than the leather VB blazer and the denim vest and matching jeans (which I love), I’m not sure whether these items are worth keeping. I think the issue at the back waist of the vest is a need to take it in a bit. I see the puffiness and it’s often something I need altered in fitted items.

The colour of the pink sweater is sensational, Staysfit! Yes to trying a size up.

YES the VB items fit soooo much better than the Boss items.

LOVE the VB jeans and the striped R&B shirt! KILLER items. LOVE!

Personally, I think you suit the longer jackets better than the cropped one. I do understand the need for a change, though!

Pic #32 is my FAVE!!! WOW!!! Not sure about the back fit of the gilet though. Is it suppose to pouf out like that? How does the gilet look open?

I'm also not crazy about the green Boss jacket. I've seen far better on you.
I like the plaid pants and am neutral on the crop plaid jacket. I do like the bottoms better than the jacket though.
I like the shirt in pic 20 and the jogger in pic 1. Cute dickey. And also really love pic 32. I also like the jeans in pic 20.

Looks like quite a few successful items to me.

I love #32 on you. Color is so gorgeous, and I hope you can get the top fit figured out. I like the Boss blazer, but like you, too short sleeves are just not acceptable. I have long arms and have gone years when I was younger putting up with too short sleeves.

I like the joggers too. I've ordered some. And of course, agree the leather blazer is great.

I retried the Gilet. I think the interior button may need some adjustment. It looks fine when open and I took a picture of it buttoned the opposite direction and it's much better than the correct direction. Poof very prominent when buttoned correctly and much less so the opposite way or when open. I think it's an easy fix.

I like your Zella pieces, and I'm betting the smaller hoodie will be a keeper.

I agree the two piece denim outfit is super on you (with the alteration you mention at back waist).

Too bad the Boss green jacket isn't quite right.

I like the plaid suit, but I think the jacket looks a little big across the shoulders in the back. (Looking at the diagonal lines from mid-shoulder line to under-arm.) The fit of those pants is amazing, though. You might bring the jacket to your tailor and see what they say.

The yoke front jeans look dynamite on you. Also the striped shirt. And the VB leather blazer is terrific!

Firecracker, fitting blazers is so tough. I do like the plaid VB trousers. They’re fully lined which is also very nice.

Angie thanks for your sage advice. The pink cashmere sweater is currently sold out so I’m going to keep checking and hope it’s restocked

I really like the matching set in the last photos , and the jeans / striped shirt outfit although the jeans look a little snug ? . I also don’t think the white poplin shirt looks too big and is actually a cool style . Maybe the shoulders are too big ? I can’t really see the shoulder seam in these photos . I’m not a big fan of the suits on you - I think you can do better . Zella stuff is great .

I like the last waistcoat suit on you! It’s stunning. I like the jeans, striped shirt and pink sweater too.

I am not sure on the plaid suit- I like the longer cut jackets better. I think there will be a definite heck yes in the future!

Sal, I am not in love with the cropped VB suit/outfit although I do like the trousers, I need to try to style them without the jacket to see if they would work in my wardrobe.

Oh, I'm so glad you've figured out the poof issue on the gilet because that outfit is fantastic on you! Superb!!

I am in agreement with all the other comments so far as well. The VB jeans (maybe in a size up), the pink sweater (ditto), the Zella items good if you get the size you want, and the suits not as stellar on you are others I've seen you wear. I do like the pants a lot and if they are lined and that is something that will increase your wears in winter, they're worth considering, regardless of the jacket.

I am wishing we had the sale here in Canada just for the Barbour jacket. I have been looking for the exact thing for years. Ah, well....

Photo 20 down all look amazing! The VB leather jacket is incredible and also the denim vest and jeans, wow absolutely stunning. The Barbour jacket looks like such a useful piece too and layers well over your leather blazer.

Returning: green Boss, plaid VB jackets, and the pleated white Nordstrom brand Poplin shirt.

Keep if size works out: I like the pink Nordstrom cashmere sweater, Zella zip Hoodie, VB jeans, and Barbour jacket but the fits are not quite right and I may do better with different sizes. I have been able to order smaller sizes for the hoodie and jacket and a larger pair of jeans. The cashmere sweater is currently sold out in size medium in my preferred color.

Warning to all: Nordstrom brand sizing may be inconsistent. The size small shirt was too large and the size small sweater was too small.

Angie mentioned that the sweater runs large but not on me! LOL! I double-checked the sizes of my previous Nordstrom Brand cashmere sweaters and they are all small. I rechecked my measurements to see if my torso expanded but my torso/chest measurements are exactly the same. My replacement NAS Wacoal bras fit perfectly. I suppose my shoulders may be a bit broader from weight lifting. The shoulder fit on the sweater was snug and I thought the chest was also a bit snug. I am hopeful a medium will appear so I can try it, if not, I may try to block this sweater and gently stretch it so it fits. A benefit of knitting is I have learned how forgiving knits can be. I may be able to make it work!

Keeping: Rag & Bone striped shirt, VB gilet and coordinating jeans, Zella joggers and tee, VB leather jacket and dickey's

Still unsure: VB plaid pants....I need to create some outfits to see if it makes sense to keep these.

I love the pink sweater, the blue Miller jacket and the jeans you have with it, the striped shirt, plus that vest and pants set. Where will you wear the latter? For casual or work purposes?

also, what are the sneaks you have on in the second photo?

UmmLila good question! Do you think it’s too casual or maybe too much denim to work well for me professionally? Given my non-traditional work setting it can be tricky to figure out what to wear.
