I AM A SHOE ADDICT!!! There I said it. So now I HAVE to stop buying black shoes. I Was in my closet getting ready for work tomorrow, turned around to the shoe wall, and really took stock. I am hoping that since in have posted it for the world to see, I will stay in line and not buy anymore. Oh, but I also noticed that I NEED blue shoes. So I will be very picky when purchasing.

So how many pairs of shoes do you have? Just shoes, not counting boots, slippers, flip flops or sneakers. (any others that should be excluded?)

Anyone want to share?

Do you wear them all? If not I'd say you have too many. I haven't counted mine but I have a lot - I don't have many clothes but I keep things new with shoes & accessories. I have 4 pairs of "special" occasion shoes that I only wear for once or twice a year but I wear all the others on a regular basis.

You have many shoes, but if you wear them, then I think you have no problem. I have too few shoes to create the looks I want. That is not so fun.

oh yea, around 50 seems right. Boots counts here right? I have at least 10 pairs of those, 2-3 pumps, 5 dressy party shoes, 2 broques, 5 booties, 3 loafers and 5-6 wedges or sandals for summer. and a few more casual walking shoes, low sandals, runners, hiking boots etc.

Love shoes. BUt learning to be picky now.

If you use them, can store them, and afford them you don't have too many. [I like Rute's option option ]

Gorgeous closet for shoes! No wonder you have lots - because it needs to be filled -- with all sorts of variety -- colors, heels , styles, seasons.

I'm not counting mine this time either. Last time I counted it was over the top. (and under the bed, and in the extra bedroom, and in the storage boxes, and . . . )

I have close to 100 pairs of shoes including boots, sandals, runners and flip flops. I divide them into spring/summer and fall/winter and store the off-seasons in tubs.

My shoes are classic and I love pointy toes. I wear them all but of course some are favourites. I spend less than $100 a pair (sometimes far less) except for boots.

I know that I am old now because my mom told me long ago that once one stops liking in-style shoes, one is old. I am not a fan of sky-high stilletos, chunky platforms or booties with skirts and dresses. At 49, I am official old and could care less...

I am a complete amateur. I've got about 15, and that includes flipflops and old shoes that only get used around the house or for gardening. And two pairs of winter boots, both practical and ugly.

On the other hand, don't ask me about my scarves...

I've got 23 pairs and 8 pairs of booties/boots -- that's what fits in my closet. If I had more room............. I'd have more shoes.

Then there's a box of shoes under the bed, but most of those are probably getting purged. I just purged about half that box recently. It's pretty bad when you totally forget you have shoes.

Thank you, ladies, for the support. After reading the previous shoe count thread, I see I can add quite a few more and still be in the YLF average range. lol. I do think I need oxfords.

That is a gorgeous closet and love all your shoes. I just figure once you are full do the one in one out and be selective. I feel that one can not have too many clothes, shoes, purses or too much makeup or jewelry. I guess I like excess, lol.

Your closet is great and oh so neat and organized!! I am with you I have about 40 as well. But I too am in the , if you wear them then you don't have too many group. I love shoes!!

I am not sure of the exact count - but I have around 50 pairs of shoes - sadly only a quarter of that is shoes that I can wear for work looks. The majority of my shoe collection is either boots or tennis shoes. Umm....sounds like I need to go shoe shopping!
