I saw a display of some small bottles of nail polish, a line I had never heard of, at the grocery store last week. I have a nice collection of nail polish, but I keep looking for a bright but romantic rosy pink. I thought I'd found one, in this little bottle of Pixel polish. It was one of those snowy days, and I've been doing dark nails or nude nails all winter.

Got the groceries put away and I sat down to do my manicure, and the color of the polish OUT of the bottle is definitely not what I expected. This polish looks like a true red. The brush isn't the greatest -- I'm spoiled by OPI brushes I guess.

So I have worn the polish now for a couple of days, and I used a Revlon base coat for it. It's not holding up very well, and the coverage isn't all that great, either. I guess I'll use this one more on my toes than fingers -- I feel a bit more siren-y than is right for me, with this shade. (I also already HAD a polish very close to this color in my collection, that I sometimes wear for swim days).

If you are looking for a pretty polish, beware of Pixel - swatch if you can, or at least, know that the color may paint quite differently than it appears!
