Tried on H&M Trench & Cardigan

I was near a H&M today and after reading Angie's two posts about their new cardigans and trench coats, I just had to pop in to try them on.

I quickly found the cardigans in cobalt, black, light grey and the most beautiful shade of light coral, and went to the dressing room to try the coral and blue cardigans on. Unfortunately the coral is way too pastel for my colouring but it would easily look fabulous on many of the YLF ladies. The cobalt on the other hand was stunning. The best thing about them is that they are a really fine gauge knit and will look wonderful belted over a dress.

The coral trench coat really stood out as it is a really eye-catching colour. It fit quite well around my body but the arms were way too long. The hem hit me right above my knee.

I really wish I weren't on a shopping ban right now because I would snap that up right now and get the sleeves altered.

Thank you, Dawn!!! I'm telling you, that's a KILLER trench and fabulous cardigan. (Also couldn't see the pics).

The extended arm length on H&M's items is one of the reasons I like to shop there. My gorilla arms actually get coverage.

Dawn, please go back to the blog posts and write your experience on each of those items when you have a moment. I'd REALLY appreciate it.

I already wanted that trench SO badly and now after seeing it on you I want it even more! It looks amazing on you. But like you, I am on a shopping ban I'm only getting things that are $15 or less.

Did the trench come in letter (s/m/l) or number (36/38/40) sizes? I'm thinking of calling one of the 93897988790 H&M's in NY to see if they have it in stock so I don't have to go out to each one to find my size. I'll be interested to see if they work on my almost-normal-length arms. I wish stuff didn't sell out so fast at H&M...but luckily since I have so many stores I'm hoping my shopping ban can be lifted in time...

Thanks for the reviews Dawn! I meant to get over to H and M yesterday to try them on also, but didn't make it. The trench coat is so pretty. I wish the skirt of it wasn't quite so flared, but I'll give it a try. Coral is a great color on you!

Oh I luv it!! I see so many cute H&M items in many blogs but the closest store to me is 3 hours away!!! Boo-hoo!!

I had persuaded myself on Saturday that I could live without this trench coat as I already have a blue flared trench coat but then I also thought about the cost-per-wear of this trench coat. As I wear trench coats from March to October (including the summer), the CPW for this trench coat would easily be very little. I think I will get the coat this weekend and have the sleeves altered.

Now, how am I going to fit it into my budget? As the months of February and March are training for mountain biking race season, I'm going to stop drinking when I go out and give up junk food so I'm going to save a fortune anyway.

Also Maya, it came in numerical sizes. I think they run pretty true to size. I'm wearing my normal size 4 there, there was no size 2 in the shop to try.
