I really like this skirt. It is a definite departure from my norm, but thanks to the inspiration and confidence I have found here, I am more comfortable experimenting with new looks.

Temperatures are still influencing (and sometimes limiting) my options. I like this skirt best with bare legs, but that was not going to work. My first thought was to go with my essential black turtleneck, but for some reason I put it back in the drawer. It seemed too predictable for my first attempt at styling this. I am sure the black turtle will get a turn.

I plan to wear this skirt again, maybe often. Please critique the pics below. I will use your feedback for future wears.

Thank you for looking and sharing your candid thoughts.

1. I paired the new skirt with a couple of rarely seen items: a short sleeved sweater and a belt around my waist. The belt has a black metallic buckle. I added my necklaces and Bakelite bracelets in green and black.
2. Paired with the black and white variegated jacket I had thought about passing on. I first put a kilt pin on the skirt, but then decided to switch it for a musical note.
3. Paired with the black jacket I had thought about passing on. The jacket has black metallic zippers, which don’t show well in the pics.

Ok, have at it! Hits? Misses? Suggestions? FWIW, I am glad I decided to hang on to the jackets for a bit longer.
