Angie's post on blazers today was timely for me; I just bought this one from AllSaints yesterday, along with matching pants. The style of both the jacket and pants, called Aleida, is one that AllSaints has had for a while, and which has attracted my eye in the past. But the colors offered did not speak to me. This year's Tarmac Green is another story; it had my name on it.

I don't wear blazers that much. I have one other, which I bought at NAS in 2022 (1.State, shown in Finds below), and which I've worn several times. It's a piece I enjoy; I feel really sharp-looking (in my sort of toned-down way) when I wear it. It's quite similar to this new one, in length and fabrication (a woven with stretch, in an all- or at least three-season weight). The one from NAS is double-breasted with buttons. This new one is single-breasted with an exaggerated low stance, and no buttons. I think they both fall into the oversized blazer trend, at the more fitted end of the spectrum: fitted in the shoulder, not too big overall.

I tried on the pants and jacket with several items in my wardrobe today and took photos. Some outfits I like better than others, and there are lots more I feel I could create. It seems these pants and jacket are items I didn't know I needed until I got them. I almost did not buy these pieces yesterday. I thought I would wait and see if they went on sale. After doing some other errands downtown, I went back to the store. I was pretty sure I didn't want to miss out on them.

I'll be interested to hear your reactions. Unless you see something amiss that escaped me, I plan to keep these.
