I got the idea to try orange in a far far away from my face way lol. I have a few iterations here. The open stitch sweater is off white while the shorts and pants are both closer to optic white. Hope that's not a big faux pas. Do any of these work? Which would you pick? It's to go shopping in Tampa tomorrow and for a nice lunch with the BF. If they don't work - what would you tweak? I'm open to all suggestions!

The tank underneath the sweater is a lime green but didn't photograph well for some reason.

I really lake the maxi. The outfit in pic 2 almost looks like too much white, in my opinion. What if you put a darker color cami under the top?

I agree the green cami looks too pale in the pic but IRL you can see it. It is a lot of white, though. I'm leaning toward #5 or the dress at the moment.

Mixing shades of the same color is on-trend, so called tonal dressing. So #2 gets a thumbs up from me.

I also like #5 -- the slim pants work better with that halter for some reason.

And I like the maxi. Not sure which one you wore, but for future reference if you want to wear one of these outfits again.

Don't know what you finally chose, but just wanted to say (FWIW) that I think all of these choices look great! May there be more special lunches in your immediate future so you can try them all out soon.

I'm with Mandipa, I like all of them - I like all-white outfits, and the pop of green and the bag look great. But the maxi and halter top outfits are both winners too, in my opinion. I'm no help, am I ....

Well, it is yet to happen - I was planning ahead for today. My BF did make a comment about maxi's being 'a whole lot of dress for the mid afternoon' the other day when we were shopping for running shoes and a gal came out of Ross in a bright coral strapless one.
But last night we ran out for a quick bite and I tried the off white sweater with lime tank under. The lime just isn't bright enough
Today I am thinking the rolled up white jeans and halter shirt (5). I can wear the maxi when he's not around, or we are near the beach, lol.

I know I'm all into saturated colors at the moment, but REALLY like the mixed whites in #2/3. It makes me think of relaxing at the beach-not that it's that casual, but just that it's very tranquil.

P.S. - I prefer to wear orange far from my face (at foot level) too!

Lol-ing at your BF's statement about the daytime maxi! That sounds like something my hubs would say. Your latest idea sounds good.

Actually they all look pretty good to me, but I might vote for #5 for an afternoon of lunch and shopping, save the maxi outfit for some dinner out.

The mix of whites is very pretty and summery, but maybe you want a really vivid tank for under it? (Are you close to an Old Navy, sometimes they have all tanks $2)

I like the little touches of orange, and would recommend adding some orange toenails I've used a Revlon this summer called Siren and it makes me smile to see my toes!
