Finally made it out to a Burberry store to look for the trench that I had ordered through Net-a-Porter, but has yet to arrive. The store didn't have it (classic cotton garbadine in light beige, black buttons, mid-thigh), but they did have sateen trenches that were water resistant. The sateen looks much better in real life--the shine is subtle, compared to the photographs online. I was deliberating between honey and navy--the sales associate thought that the blue suited my eyes, but that the beige would work better with my jeans uniform. Thoughts? Go with what matches eyes or what matches the outfit?
