Trench coat that is warm and good for wet weather

Do you live in an area of the country that gets a lot of cold wet weather? If so, then I say it might be a good investment. If not, then I would just layer heavily and wear your lighter weight trench over it.

No I live in a dry climate but travel to Ireland once a year. I will just layer. I hate being cold though so I wondered.

Bring a pashmina to wear around your neck. If your neck and feet are warm you will feel warm.

There is nothing as cold as that wet kind of cold that they get in Scotland. But it is sooooo romantic ...

Pack light weight silk long underwear. It takes up no room and gives a great layer of warmth without bulk if you need it.

I also think that you could just layer with your trench but, you could think about trying a stylish anorak. They have come back so you can find chic ones anywhere. I searched on Nordstrom and they have some really cute ones. Some are lighter so you could pair a sweater with a tank top a scarf and some boots.
