Oh Fabbers, thank you for joining in my fun. It is so nice to wake up and see you like my choice.
Marilyn and Taylor, I never even knew about buttoning the sides of a double breasted coat back. I have been missing out. When the sales associate styled it like that and turned me toward the mirror, I looked like I had lost 10 pounds! What a nice surprise!
Joy and Suntiger, I really like the stripes, too. I didn’t intentionally put them on. I had worn the stripes to work, under a blazer. I came home, opened the box and pulled on the trench. I’m happy to know my stripes will work with the plaid.
Kathie, Bijou, Windchime and StyleFan, the buttons were another unexpected surprise. Just as DTwin and I were getting ready to exit the store, my sales associate asked if we could join her for a minute. She explained about a special event where with the sale of two Burberry styles, the option to trade two regular buttons for heritage buttons was available. My trench was not one of the styles, but they (the sales associates in the Burberry store) had so much fun with DTwin and me that they wanted to offer me the option. What? Well, of course I wanted to see the buttons. Ok, they were all amazing, so once again, I was in tough decision mode.
Thank you JAileen, JenniNZ, Brooklyn and Katerina. This coat is beautiful and it makes me feel beautiful.
Taylor, I can imagine how gorgeous you look with your columns of black or white, boots and your Burberry coats. I plan to style mine similarly.
Rachylou, haha, a guess is just a guess. I am guessing that you would look fantastic in the vintage check!
Thank you Lisa P. I am going to try to follow your advice and wear my trench a lot. I do have a habit of saving some of my nicer things for later. I don’t know why. I am trying to change my habits and enjoy my things more often. I am not sure what I am waiting for. So, I think I may wear my trench when I take DGrandson to the Touch a Truck event today!
