Trench coat K/R?

Hi ladies, I have been mostly on the lurk mode on the forum. My attention is focused on a lot of other little projects going on in my life but I have been enjoying your outfits especially the Picasso challenge one.
Last week I was at the mall and this trench coat caught my eye at Ricki's. It is black dots on white background. I am not sure about the fit, though. What do you all think? Are the sleeves and length too long?

I like the color and pattern - fun. The sleeves are a bit long, especially in the second picture but this can be altered.
It seems that the bottom part has more volume to it than you need. Can you try a size down or would it be too tight?
For comparison: I think the BR trench you tried before was a better fit but it is also possible that this is the pattern which plays the trick here.

I love the super fun pattern on this coat. Did you try a smaller size? The shoulder placement on this coat looks good in the pictures, so a smaller size might not work. I actually like longer sleeves on a coat, but these could easily be shortened.

Pattern is super fun. I don't think it's too long per se, but maybe slightly boxy. I would try smaller size, although as Karie pointed out it might not work as shoulders don't look too big.

Cute trench. I don't think it's too long (but I don't mind my sleeves being a little long -- I'd rather that than too short!). Keeping in mind that you're not wearing shoes in these photos, I think the length is fine, actually.

I don't think sizing down is the right answer -- it doesn't really look like you have extra room in this through the chest and shoulders.

Most importantly, how does it feel to you? Does it feel good with a typical outfit underneath? I think it looks nice on you.

I like the pattern. Maybe take it to your tailor and see what they can do to alter the fit on the bottom, if you would like a sleeker fit.

I love the pattern...the idea of a fun trench on a gray day is just perfect...I would look for a smaller size...And like Sveta, I like the style, look and fit of the BR trench...
I just bought the LF that Angie rec/ on Nordstrom's spring offerings and I am so totally in love with it...That is the PERFECT coat for me...I wish you to also find such a match...

Sveta, I think you are right. The fit at the bottom is too wide and the fabric is a little stiff. Probably because it is new.
Karie, the smaller size will be snug in shoulders and i want to be able to wear this with a sweater underneath.

rute and Kirstjen, the pattern caught my eye in the first place but the fitting definitely is not the best.
