This sweater is 30 years old. It is the first really nice piece of clothing I ever bought, and may still be the nicest I've ever bought.

It was lying on a table facing an aisle in Nordstrom. I was instantly attracted to the color and the cable & seed stitch detailing (single moss stitch in the UK). Then I looked at the tag and it was all over. "100% Cashmere, Hand Knitted in Scotland."

*Hand knit cashmere?* I had never thought of such a thing. I knew I had to have it, even though, at a substantial mark down, the cost represented months of my clothing budget.

It is in great shape with no discernible pilling, but I haven't worn it for years due to the short boxy cut. Today I decided the heck with it and wore it with black skinny jeans to Thanksgiving Day Mass. I felt pretty good in it, better than it looks in the pictures. I think I'll wear it again soon.

What do you think? Any styling ideas?

Thanks! I am thankful for you, the members of the YLF community, who have listened to me and encouraged me in this last year.
