I have some Thirty-One toiletry bags that are very nice. Their bags come in all shapes and sizes.

I’ve been looking at this one that comes in two sizes. Thinking about the smaller size.

And yes, Suz, hurray that we need travel gear again!

I personally use a hanging washbag from Boots UK. It has transparent pockets, one of which is detachable (velcro strips) - a lifesaver for separating out airport liquids!

It's nice to hear everyone's suggestions for bigger bags, thank you. And great that you're considering travel again!

I have a question about packing liquids in your checked luggage though - how do you ensure it won't burst or spill everywhere?? Do you wrap the bag in cling film, or...?

I’m with @zaeobi — a travel bag must must have a hook so it can be hung. Many hotels in Europe, and even a cabin in Utah we stayed at recently, don’t have the counter space to lay things out. I liked the look of the Spif bag @la Ped posted. I personally use an EMME bag.

Ooh this is a fun thread. I have been using an old set of bags and would like to upgrade. Those Lug ones look interesting.

SOOOO many great options! Thank you for sharing your wisdom

Xtabay, thanks for the call out on the Cuyana ones. everything i've got from that brand has been really good, and ive been looking at the travel bags, but wasn't sure about leather. nice to read a positive recommendation

Train case makes me nostalgic too, SF. I had one from a wonderful brand called Andiamo that I bought back in the mid-80s. That case was perfect—also adorable—and I absolutely loved it. The interior fittings were very well thought out. My toiletries, meds and makeup were never again so well housed. That case went everywhere—and it was always singled out and investigated by TSA agents anywhere I went, at home, and especially abroad. I never minded, because the agents always ended up marveling over the case’s cunning design. When it was stolen off an Amtrak train 20 years ago, I was beside myself. I tried to replace it, but the company that made it had been sold, and that design was retired. I was never able to find another train case that even came close. Now I use the classic LL Bean hang up bag that Eliza linked to. It gets the job done reasonably well, but not with the panache and charm of my baby case.

kkards, you're welcome! I really like cuyana's stuff.

My moth gifted me a similar one to this years ago and I still have it, I don;t think is any particular brand but I wanted to include the picture for reference, it has been a life saver many times!

I used to like the Flight 001 store. I’ve got two mod toiletry bag sets from them from way back. Tbh, I don’t know if they still do cute things or even if they’re really still in business. They closed their stores here and in LA…

I have a version of this bag in an odd print that was on sale. It fits sooooo much, and is sooooo organized.

Muji, muji, muji. I’ve had mine for over a decade, still looks great.

I have toiletry bags from both Lug and Thirty One... lots of compartments, zips and both are wipeable. Love them!

late to this, but I’ll put in a plug for Emme bags. Come in two different sizes, colors vary as to what’s available. I’ve been using mine for several years and am very satisfied.

I am watching this thread as i am in the market for one as well. I have the llbean one now and i just don't love it. On paper it is everything i want, yet it just doesnt work for me. i find it is only useful when hanging. I would love one that could hang or be placed on a countertop. I also put everything in plastic bags and then put those in the toiletry bag. I had a spill once and i couldnt quite clean it all so that was my solution. Not ideal. I am going to have fun checking out all of the great suggestions offered here!

I really like the hanging travel bags by LL Bean. I also like the ones from Vera Bradley. The Vera Bradley is less bulky when everything is enclosed.

I really like my Dakine toiletry bag. It’s functional and has held up as though it’s still new despite years of wear.

Thank you, everyone! Appreciate the helpful suggestions

Dagne Dover.

I've had my eye on this brand and these travel bags but haven't pulled the trigger since i won't be traveling till June or so....they have different sizes small and large. I don't like/use the hanging types. I like a bag you can put on the counter/dresser top somewhere that opens up wide lie these do.... the everlane one pasted on page one seemed similar.
