Wow, you guys really are the best. I feel like I’m sleepwalking through everything right now. I appreciate your sympathy. It is very strange to have to pack like this, not knowing when the call will come.
Aquamarine, thanks for the reminder about the brolly! That’s the kind of thing that can easily be taken for granted and then forgotten. And yes, sometimes we have to dig deep.
Sisi, that’s very kind. The crisis stage was last week. Now I am into the home straight. Amazing how we can adapt. I will have a think about the pullover. I may need one should I head for the UK.
Runcarla, kkards, that is solid advice about funeral attire. The blazer will probably be too warm to wear in Spain. I was thinking of ring-fencing the trousers and shall probably do the same with the VW blouse. The boots and possibly also the skirt will have to earn their space in my luggage though.
As for rain gear, we are veterans of this festival, we know the terrain and where to take shelter when the rain breaks out. I am fairly sure the rain jacket will be enough, assuming it rains at all. Sun block, however, is essential, as Joy says.
Janet, Lana, you’re very wise. I may try and squeeze in another pair of sneakers. I decided to swap the pencil skirt for a performance fabric midi with a long slit, one of my summer festival workhorses. Not quite so pretty but more versatile. Lyn67, I thought so too. Looks so cool with sneakers and a concert shirt! As for the boots, they wear surprisingly well. This will not be their first visit to Primavera Sound.
For the curious, a photo from a previous occasion. See if you can spot me in the picture.
