Travel capsule NYC weekend

Hello!
This is my first post with a photo and wanted to share my travel capsule.
Going to NYC for the weekend and even though it is a short trip, I picked out three outfits. Shoes not shown but will be white sneakers. Comments welcome.

Looks very well thought out! I like the patterned pants and scarf while keeping the tops solid as I think this is the easiest and most mixable. I would add another pair of shoes though, what if your sneakers get wet? I would also try to take only one purse?

This looks great! I love the touches of red and those black and white pants are fantastic.

I agree about an extra pair of shoes if you plan to walk a fair bit. It can be really helpful to change shoes.

Extra shoes are good. I was in NY last weekend. I did such a good job with native wear (army jacket, skinnies and sneakers) that I looked like half the other mom people in Greenwich Village -- not my intention!

I love the colors, and agree it looks very cohesive. Do you have a second shoe you would like as a backup? I know we all seem to be fixated on your shoes, but it's because I find switching out shoes helpful to my feet.

Thanks everyone! Shoes are tough for me as my feet are getting fussy but will take your advice and pack another pair. Maybe my red patent leather driving shoes. Or my black slip on sneakers.

I love seeing travel capsules. It is beautiful.

A second pair of shoes is a good idea. I know how hard they are to pack and how much room they take up. Still a very good idea.

Be sure to double check the weather report. The weather has been very variable here, even from day to day.

Red, white and black = a great colour combo. Good to see a really colour cohesive travel capsule. And the different prints will add interest and create even more sophistication.
When going away for more than 12 hours, always bring another pair of shoes. Your feet will thank you for it.

I agree with the crowd - another pair of shoes will be useful. Perhaps the black slip on sneakers you mentioned? If you are traveling by subway, I'd be very careful with your white pants.

looks good! what did you bring for outerwear? I'm in NYC at the end of June (actually in Brooklyn) and am dreading figuring out what to bring . I doubt I can be appropriately hipster;)

I hear it will pour rain all weekend so I plan on a hooded black rain jacket with my zebra patterned umbrella.
For June outerwear, depends on the temperature. I would suggest a utility jacket. I have a olive green one from old navy. Now they carry them in black or cream. Sometimes just a long sleeve shirt is enough if it is really hot.
I will try to put up a photo of that jacket.
I don't do hipster very well either!
