Travel capsule in black and purple for UK

I took these pics with my Ipad before I joined YLF, as a 'note to self' on what to pack for a 3-4 week trip to the UK planned for September. DH and I will be travelling by train, and doing quite a bit of walking, as historical sites and gardens feature big on the itinerary.

Everything packs in a smaller size carry-on suitcase.

-6 t-shirts (long sleeved striped in black/cream grey/cream, light/dark purple-Reitmans, 2 black 3/4 sleeve, 1 purple short sleeve-Smart Set)
-3 sweater (1 purple light weight cotton v- neck, 2 cardis-1 grey, 1 cream PURE Alfred Sung)
-ruffled sleeveless cream top
-multi-coloured faux wrap top BCBG
-black straight leg jean cut pants
-purple cropped cords Lands' End
-black dress with grey, teal, purple Esprit
-black open toe flats Liz Claiborne
-black Chelsea boots Steve Madden
-purple paisley pashmina

For on the plane:

-jeans Levi's 505
- black and cream t-shirt
-purple velvet jacket Tristan & America
-black trench DKNY
-purple or black bag

I will only take one bag, and I am inclining towards the black CK one, because it can be worn cross-body. I have some 12 hr patent loafers that I might bring instead of the black sneaks.

The trip is more than 6 months away, so I might very well change things up when I get some feed back on future pics of the items styled!

My goodness, that is efficient planning! You are an excellent packer! I thought I was doing well to get my stuff for a 3 - 4 week trip into a big suitcase!! Mind you, I was travelling to several different climates in that time and doing a wide variety of activities.

This looks terrific and would serve you well. I guess the only possible issue would be warmth -- not sure what you might need for that time of year, but as long as you have at least one wool sweater I would think that would helpful.

This looks like a great travel capsule. I love the black and purple colors, and everything looks so well co-ordinated. All these travel capsule posts are so much help, I can't wait to put mine together for my upcoming trip to Croatia!

Wow, that is one great travel capsule. Seems like you picked the perfect neutrals and accent color and have all the bases covered. I take pictures of what I'm packing and potential outfits, too. It's so helpful and such a timesaver for future trips. I refer back to the pictures over and over.

Looks good to me! You have the possible temperature variation and the rain covered. As for shoes, if they are equally comfortable I'd take whichever pair offers the best traction -- all those old stone steps can be slippery.

It's a good idea to check the size of your suitcase against the height of the overhead luggage racks on the trains, if you can. The ones used by Virgin trains have particularly annoyingly short clearance, which can be a problem if you have a hard suitcase. Most trains have luggage racks but sometimes there can be a lot of competition for that space.
