I'm only just realizing that loving ALL of your wardrobe comes with 1 problem - what to take on a trip & what to leave behind!!!

Thailand is hot & humid this time of the year...much like India. But the tropical weather will have cooler nights than here...thank heavens for that! In any case, the high humidity means that I'm only going to pack cotton knits and denim shorts...since those are the only things I'm comfortable in when it's hot & humid.

Since I couldn't decide what to take and what not to take, I decided to break my travel capsule down by activities. I will wear sneakers (gear) for the flight. I am not comfortable walking a lot in sandals so need them for airports, and we also plan to do some rock climbing & elephant trekking, should the weather allow.

We have breakfast inclusive at our beach resort. For other meals, we plan to explore the local bars, cafes and restaurants, since our resort is centrally located and within walking distance from markets & eateries.

I started this capsule from footwear options. I'm going to pack one pair of slip on B&W sneakers for all city walking and one pair of flat silver sandals that are comfy to walk in. Obviously I'll have a pair of flip-flops too. Both shoes can be worn with almost all outfits, so I'm happy about that.

My capsule includes mostly black & white because that's something I just love. And a bit of blue...because I like that too. Comfort is KEY for this trip. I'll pack 2-3 pendant necklaces and couple bracelets for accessories. And also 2 brightly colored scarfs that I can also use as sarongs. I will have 2 straw sunhats - one is B&W and the other is blue with some cream.

1) B&W print cold shoulder top with black skater skirt. Can wear for lunch/dinner
2) B&W striped top with cotton knit mini skirt. Very comfy, one of my fav summer outfits that I can wear for literally ANYTHING.
3) The same striped top as #2 but in blue. Blue denim shorts to go with it.
4) Shot shows why I love these striped tops enough to have 2 of them...I love that detail at the back because it shows off the tattoo on my back.
5) Another pair of denim shorts with oversized black tee. For lounging around or for bfast.
6) Similar outfit with light blue shorts that have a cute crocheted detail at the bottom, paired with white oversized tee. Can wear with flip flops to lounge around the pool....or on boat rides when we go island hopping (can easily wear my swimsuits underneath).
7) New asymmetrical hem striped dress. Ideal for lunch/dinner with right accessories
8) The other new striped dress. Can easily wear around the pool with a B&W floppy sunhat, or can dress up slightly with silver sandals for a light lunch.
9) B&W Fit & flare tshirt dress. Good for dinner
10) Similar to #9 but blue. (I actually have 6 of these fit & flare tshirt dresses that I took to Maldives in 2015)
11) B&W tube skirt with a pretty white top. I really like the lacy sleeves....good for a dinner out.
12) Another easy printed knit skirt with a basic black tee.

I think with these outfits, I'll be good for 5 days & 4 nights. It may seem that these are too-much, but I never repeat any outfit or item of clothing when weather is hot & humid and I know I'll sweat a lot. That means I do need 2-3 options per day, depending on what we do. Swimwear & coverups will be additional.

Would love to hear your thoughts.
