They came today! I'm not sure . . . and that makes me nervous. For the most expensive jeans I've ever bought I want to be absolutely delighted. Right off the bat, the 7" rise has me concerned. This is why I diligently check for 8". See my whole hand fitting between navel and waistband? Not so great.
Also, call me crazy, but I feel like a moto jean should fit skinny. I'm debating sizing down. Now, I know this goes against most modern fit these days, but honestly, I like when a jean actually 'holds in' my upper thighs and these do not. They're cozy - don't get me wrong, but I don't think of leather pants in the cozy category. I want them to be bad ass. lol

They definitely look too big to me. I agree that the moto style should be sleek... like a leather superhero-on-a-motorcycle pant. If you love the style, I'd say try the size down.

As for the rear view, I think the textured back yoke is shinier in the pics than real life and won't have the same "flattening" effect mentioned above. The pockets also probably stand out a little more and add volume. Just going off of my own black jeans here.

Try the next size down, and if that doesn't make you say "oh yeah" when you look in the mirror, keep looking for another pair. It will be worth it to be picky about these.

I think the leather panels at the knees are too low, they are not where they are supposed to be on you, at least it looks that way. Not sure a smaller size would fix this.

I'm thinking size down, too. Now, do I do the Bloomie's return and wait another week and a half or go ebay with huge savings but the gamble of no return?

Ah, Astrid, my shortness comes to light! They are a bit lower . . . but I felt they were still in an okay place, comfort wise. As long as they don't look crazy out of place.

I think maybe that the cut is not right for you. I agree that this sort of pant should be skin tight as it is shown on the model. They definitely look too big from the back, but my concern in sizing down would be that there looks as if there is already some pulling in the groin area, but it might be the lighting, black is so difficult in photos isn't it?

Aleta, makes sense. The 'pulling' is actually a product of the rise and me no doubtedly trying to wear them higher than they're intended. Damn short rises! I'll have to debate whether I can get past the rise, size down or not.

Size down and see how they feel. They are very cool pants but need to be perfect, I agree.

I agree with the others - try a size down. The look of the rise doesn't bother me, but is it uncomfortable for you? I am very long in the rise and pants sometimes hit in such a way that feels like I have muffin top even if it doesn't look that way.

It doesn't look crazy out of place, I guess I wouldn't have noticed if I hadn't looked very closely for fit issues. If they feel alright on then I'd say it's not a problem.

I'm just not sure. I am wondering if the cut is just not right. I don't think the panels are too low, but it's an odd mix of fitted and loose. I think the best would be if you could keep these, style them, and compare to a smaller size. I don't think I would risk no returns on eBay.

Claire has a pair with leather knees....not sure if they have leather elsewhere on them. I think they are AGs?
