TR Camerons vs AG Nikki's

I'm seriously considering order the AG Nikki's - I adore my Cameron BF jeans but would love a pair that didn't have the big back flap so that untucked tops could lay nice and flat.

I'm thinking I would order the same size as my Camerons which are my "true" size. For those that having experience - would you agree?

Well, I am in the "same size" camp in part because I didn't want the saggy BF butt (which I think is what you are talking about?). I am really glad I went same size because the thighs are not at all tight -- there is room in them, and room in the crotch and butt, even right after washing -- but there is not A LOT of slouch, just enough. After a few days of wearing there is more slouch in both the butt and thigh areas, but still not as much as my BFs. This is what I wanted -- more room than skinnies, less than BFs. So if that's what you're after I would say same size.

The TR Camerons are MUCH baggier. And fall off the waist. The Nikkis are a lot more streamlined, and don't need a belt. I did size up in my Nikkis because I preferred the extra slouch - watching the shows at the moment has influenced me I guess. But my suggestion to you is to purchase your true size though.

Argh!! Still sitting on my hands here trying to decide which size to order for myself. Trouble is, I don't know what my "true" size is anymore! I have premium jeans in 3 different sizes. The smallest is the baggiest (Camerons). The biggest is quite slim (Citizens of Humanity Racer skinnies.) So which should I choose? Oy!!!

Suz - that's my confusion as well. Add to that a few pounds weight gain and ???

My Camerons were very baggy originally but now fit more like "regular" jeans thanks to those annoying 7 pounds (grrrrr). I have the sneaky suspicion that the size that would fit best and be most flattering in the Nikki's would be one size up from my Camerons. But again...I'm not sure.

I just returned my size in the AGs as they run small and I ordered one size larger. We will see what happens. They seem to be lower in the waist and butt than I am used to.

I sized down once in the TRs and could have sized down again. The AGs are slouchy in my usual size but not as baggy or stretchy. They fit like my favorite old school Levis did. A size down would fit more closely.

And now I have a question, oh enabling ones...

When you say "usual size", would this be your usual size in, say BR jeans? Or do premium jeans run differently? I've never had "good" jeans, and like many, am considering these. My Gap/BR sizing is pretty consistent, so that's a good one to comare too, because a lot have them. I don't think Janet would mind me saying, but I asked her, and she said she sizes up one size from BR in premium, and sized up two in these. So when I see "true", I wonder if if fact I'm trying to decide between THREE sizes. that's a lot to order... a lot to have on the Visa if the bill is due before the return happens, ya know? So would love more thoughts on narrowing it down.

Elizabeth, I'm no help. I take one size in BR/ Gap jeans....and also have some premiums in that size. One of those premium jeans is super tight -- but it is SUPPOSED to be super tight, as it is a legging jean. The other one (different maker) is supposedly a skinny, but is actually almost baggy on me.

I also have actual premium jeans in the size below this -- TR Camerons. And they are super baggy on me. Although they don't fall off done up without a belt, they do fall off the second I unbutton them.

AND I have premium jeans in the size above this -- my Citizens of Humanity -- and they fit snug in the waist and thigh but not too snug.

So. I'm going to order in the size above my BR jeans, and maybe also in the size of my BR jeans. I think. Although I suspect the size up will give me the fit I am after. Because I also have slouchy skinnies from BR from several years back, and those ones are also a size up from my regular, and I love them.

Elizabeth - I'm afraid I've never purchased BR jeans so can't compare but I do know my TR Camerons are one size down from what I normally wear in Gap jeans.Like Suz, I'm thinking of ordering the same size as my Camerons and one size up and seeing what works better. Sorry I can't be more helpful.

I don't wear BR jeans but I am between a 4 and 6 and fairly consistently a 28 in premium jeans, which I consider my usual size. I got a 27 in the TRs (and could have sized down more), and a 28 in the AGs. I have a wider waist and no hips, so cut matters. In Gap I wear 4/6 or 27/28 depending on how the style runs. Hope that helps.

I purchased the Nikkis in the same size as my BR jeans (and nearly all of my other jeans, for that matter). I like them a lot in that size. They are super comfortable, but not falling off and not SO baggy in the butt, but still loose where I want them to be loose.

I also have the TR Briannas, in the same size, and they are much baggier in the rear, and importantly for you Shannon, in the LOWER LEG. I know they are not the Camerons, but I actually think they are slimmer than the Camerons, and I still find that the Nikkis are filling a different "nitch" for me because of the slim lower leg. Hope that is somewhat helpful.
