One more WIW, then I'll go be productive! I've had some work related pool events to attend this summer- tough job but someone's gotta do it

This capsule has been ideal for these events, cause it passes for regular clothes! The tankini tops have both high neck and back, so they look like shirts, especially the textured one. The Ripskirt is quick drying, and an easy coverup.
I will get a different bikini bottom though, as this one faded quickly
Thinking of adding a straw bag to go with the hat, but it's kind of an odd shade to try to match.
ETA- I definitely paid my dues for these pool days! Remember my soul killing cubicle days up til a few months ago :p

Nice capsule! I don’t think straw pieces have to match, but just go with each other.

I have this skort and it’s pretty quick drying and might work with your other pieces. And it has zip-up pockets.

This sounds like the best solution to a work-related pool event EVER.

I can't say enough about the Ripskirt. I love that thing so much. So versatile.

I am not sure you would need to match the hat, exactly -- esp. if you could find a bag with a pattern that included something similar to the hat.

I have a similar Athleta skort, but it's really too short for other work things, and I go to multiple events most days. Plus the Ripskirt is quick on off cause velcro!
TBH I'd like to have some knee length skorts, as the ones I have are even feeling shorter than I'd like for my days off.

I use the Ripskirt a lot! I really like the shape and length.

PS: try Lands’ End for swim bottoms. They aren’t my first choice for tops, but if you are mixing and matching, their sport bikini bottoms wear like iron.

The tops are Lands End, so will try the bottoms. This one was Knix, thought I could extend my swimming time by a couple days a month!
I did have a LE rashguard though that faded badly very quickly

I hope you find your straw bag soon! I think that with the mix of brown and gold tones in your shoes, it does not need to match your hat exactly (in fact maybe better if it doesn't? My 2 cents...)

I’ve been working on exercise gear that I can wear around town, but hadn’t thought to try to include swimwear in that.

I see what you mean about the hat being a special color and going with the black really well. A patterned bag might work well. Searching for “raffia bag” actually brought up crochet bags as well as sisal. If you know someone who can crochet, or learn yourself, or hit up Merwoman really sweetly, you can lick your own yarn color. I don’t think skorts get longer than about 20”, but you could look for culottes /a split skirt longer than that.

Bright colors, but it’s a beach bag. If you want to skip that, take your tooled leather bag.

I like swimwear that can do double duty as 'camoflaged' streetwear (provided you don't look TOO closely, lol) - great for saving packing space, but also for sweaty hikes that end with a dip at the beach I have a swim wrap dress (similar to the one below):

As for the bag, maybe a fabric tote that picks up the hat & shoe shades might be easier to find (I'm thinking like a big Vera Bradley but with a brown & cream paisley print instead)?

Echoing Suz on the ongoing fabness of rip skirts - I had a dr. appt the other day. What a great piece to zip (rip!) in and out of when you have to get undressed/redressed quickly.

If there's a pool I'm going in it
The RipSkirt has worked out better than my other wrap skirts! I've worn it as a pool cover up, on normal workdays, on days off, and to a nice restaurant.
The one problematic thing is it really needs hand washing so the velcro doesn't ruin the rest of my wash.

So tough!. I love my print rip skirt and may order a black one for travel and pool. I wash it in a guppies friend bag because it is polyester and the Velcro, which I fasten, is not a problem.
