I just stumbled across a Facebook post by a friend in Tahoe that Soundgarden is playing tonight at Harvey's outdoor concerts about 200 yards from my pub job. We could hear the concerts from the deck often while working. I am SO bummed!!
When I celebrated my 40th birthday in Seattle last year, I had just missed them playing under an assumed name the week before. And my first Seattle trip in 1996, for an airline interview, was when I heard the sad news on my car radio that they had broken up after 12 years.
I never thought I'd get the opportunity to see them after that. And to hear they are right now playing within earshot of my workplace of the last 15 years totally kills me.
