Hi. The NYC meetup was so much fun, the best, and I felt so energized during it and even into the next day! But traveling back home, and now, I'm kind of wiped out and very slowly getting back into a groove. Am reading a lot of wonderful, poignant, funny, interesting, stylish and on and on posts at the moment and am having trouble mustering the energy to write down what I'm thinking...but please realize that I'm passively involved here and with you all in spirit!

(I'll be in touch with Angie to find out when she would like the write-up on this meetup. I myself can't wait to see the pics Greg took!)

Nancy, Angie asked you to do the write-up? What an honor! I can't wait to read it, but you rest first!

I can only imagine the emotional high you were on and it's only natural that you have to come back down to earth. Take it easy if you can and we'll all catch up later. I'm so happy (and a little jealous, truth be told) that you got to meet Angie and everyone else! Now take care of yourself, ya hear? Lurking is allowed.

I understand. I go in spurts - I'll comment a lot and then lurk for a few days. I usually enjoy reading posts but don't always feel I have anything new or interesting to say.

I also find the speed of posts lately makes them fly off page one in under an hour instead of several hours or half a day. It's just impossible to 'keep up'.

Another one here who is having trouble even attempting to keep up - I'm reading more than posting - it's school holidays this week in the UK, I have studying to do, plus some decluttering projects (for my neglected blog, which will be resurrected when studying is finished) and it's all got too much

Exactly what Mo said. Things go by so fast that it's hard to keep up. Sometimes I feel too overwhelmed so I just lurk.

Yep it all moves really fast around here. I do most of my responding in snippets of time. While drinking coffee before getting ready for work, at lunchtime, while Hubs in preparing dinner (yes I said HE prepares dinner!!!) I think my spending time on the forum kind of annoys him as he likes my undivided attention but that's his problem! I STILL can't keep up!

Me too! Love to stop by and read, but often dont comment....either someone has already said what I would, or my mind is too befuddled to find the right words!

I'm feeling the same way, Nancy, and due to a cold, have been off the grid. Even when I'm at 100%, it's hard to keep up. I'm really looking forward to your article, so get yourself rejuvenated and we'll be waiting to read about your NYC meet-up.

Yes, it happens. Life throws a lot at us all and I think it is healthy to recognize when we need a break, physically and emotionally.
