Tory Burch, why the giant medallion?

Do people actually wear shoes with a GIANT logo on the front? I want these shoes to transition to fall but without the bling!

Yes, people actually do! I have to say that I love my Tory flats even with the giant logo. I look at it as jewelry for my feet and I coordinate from there. It's not everyone's style, but I make it work.

OH yes, people wear them. There are so many brands plastered all over SoCal, it's ridiculous. TB isn't that bad, as the logo at least isn't a giant set of initials, but some people out here won't buy anything unless it has a logo - real or not!

I love the shoes actually, although I'd prefer if the medallion were not an obvious logo. The Tory logo is getting too ubiquitous for my taste but I actually think it is rather tasteful as far as logos go.

I have an old Kenneth Cole Reaction purse with a logo that is like 4 lowercase "r"s in a circular/squarish configuration, and I keep getting asked if it is a Tory Burch.

It's up there with all the Coach hooplah to me - I just don't get it. I have started taking brand tags off of some of my pants and shorts, especially if they are a bright color or large.

What lovely shoes! The colour of the leather is a really warm timber colour. To my eye, the logo is fine, but I do have a high bling tolerance :).

I am a Tory Burch devotee. The logo doesn't bother me at all and, in fact, comes in a bigger version on her flats (the infamous Revas) and some of the wedges. However, she makes many styles of shoe without the gilded logo as well. And very little of her clothing is so obviously marked as Tory Burch. I fall into the camp of feeling like the gold stamp makes a basic flat a bit more dressy and the aesthetics of this particular logo are appealing to me (vs. the Coach "c" print which I've never liked).

This logo and this shoe are really relatively pretty. But the discussion reminds me of what my mom used to say (possibly to taint our young delicate minds against high-end/price clothing choices) that a company who puts their brand name on the clothes so others can read it ought to give it away as free advertising. HA.

I don't know who Tory is and wouldn't know her logo if I fell on it. I liked shoe decorations in their day and find this one really quite beautiful.

If I squint my eyes it looks celtic to me and anything celtic makes my heart pitter patter.

Now that I know it's a logo ick ick ick (unless of course it's my hockey team!).

How's that for talking out from the other side of my face?

I am also not a logo person. Or conspicuous hardware for that matter. But she made her millions starting with those flats, just like Coach exploded with all the logo merchandise.

Well, to be honest, if I didn't know that was the Tory Burch logo I would think the shoe was great. It just looks like a medallion. I find this type of logo incorporation MUCH less intrusive than most!

I have tory burch reva flats in back patent and the medallion is in self black patent too so its not obvious at all. I love my reva's and they are super comfy.
These would look great with a less blingy medallion, I agree. But you may want to try them on 'in real life' and give them a whirl?

I actually *didn't* know that it was the Tory Burch logo. Like Aida suggested, I thought it was just a medallion. Not to my taste, but not awful. The initial logos (like you see on Coach bags) are not my favorite - on me, they would feel pretentious. That's not a judgment against those that like logo bags or feel differently, though - just not my personal cup of tea.
I am not crazy about wearing anything with a large logo - I was a little self-conscious about a Michael Kors top I have because the logo was printed (very small) on it. I don't mind people thinking that I take care to dress well, but to me being logo/brand-conscious is a tad overboard for the image that I want to convey.

And I am totally jonesing for a Michael Kors bag because his initials are my initials!

@MaryK, They're my dad's initials too. I don't use the key fob that came with my MK handbag but I really enjoy having it because it reminds me of him.
