Ok the picture is bad again. My grandson took it. But I would love opinions on the dress. I will save mine for now.

I think I would prefer it if there were more structure through the shoulders and bust.

Debbie - I went back and looked at several of your past WIWs. I love you in color, and I find this dress overwhelms your frame. It’s not my favorite.

In the picture, this dress seems to overwhem you - maybe it's the length which seems too long. But how does it feel when you move around?

I like it but I think it is too long on my 5’3” frame. It is a great dress though.

What would it look like if you shortened the hem? It looks like it fits well. I like the seaming around your waist, and the asymmetrical skirt. I might also consider making the sleeves a smidge shorter. I’m not sure though.

I agree that there is too much dress for your frame. chopping the length might help. It also looks a little snug through the torso.

This length needs heels( don't forget thatwedges or block can be very comfortable) and you are sorted, Debie! Love it!

SO great to see you, Debbie.

FWIW, I've dressed Debbie in person a few times, and this is my 2 cents on the fit of the dress which I see with different eyes:

I see enough structure on Debbie's dainty sloping shoulders, and this is a good fit.
I can't see what is going on under the bust in the pic, but perhaps the ruching needs to be pulled down a little.
The length is fine to because the hem is asymmetrical. I think others might be judging it from the long side only. Remember - it has a short side, which adds structure. I vote leave the elegant and interesting length.

Make sure you're okay with the side view, Debbie. Other than that, I really like the dress on you. Different and a little avant-garde.

I would tend to agree with Angie. You should definitely play around with shoes, and try it on with boots and heels, to see the full potential here. I do like even the longer length (batting for Team Midi, if that's a thing). But it will look different with a bit of a heel on.

Thanks for chiming in, Christina. Personally, I think the dress will look fine with flats and sandals. I wish the dress was as long on me as it is on Debbie....

I love the length! but I'm on team midi! for some reason I've generally followed this rule - as the hem goes down so does the heel height and as the hem goes up the heel follows.....

So... I first looked last night, in the dark wearing my contacts... and I thought it was a lot of dress. But now I’m looking in daylight, without my contacts, so I can actually see - yes, counterintuitive! - and I do believe Angie is right. The dress is very flattering!

Debbie, your WIW made me go to the Nordies and Topshop site because the dress looks so good! But it didn’t work out due to lack of shipping and high shipping costs and distances.

Agree with others that it’s all about the side view. I personally don’t mind tummy as long as there is no clinging.

Ok I tried it back on and looked at the side view. Tried it with some shoes and decided I am keeping. I am intrigued enough and it is a good price to be wildcard.

Hi there I'm new here. I like the dress. I think the fit is good. However I think a bright necklace would be helpful just to highlight your face a little, as others have said it is a lot of dress. Also a largish necklace would work well with that neckline. Actually a blue denim jacket over it would be nice over it too. I think a lot of different shoe types could work with it. Good luck with it.
