Top ten denim trends for spring

According to Shopbop, the top 10 denim trends for spring are the following: floral, metallic, high contrast (which include contrasting panels, tuxedo jeans and striped jeans), high-waisted jeans, denim/chambray button-downs, overalls, white denim, slouchy skinnies ( which by the shown assortment I would guess to include BF jeans), destroyed denim and dramatic flares.

I am curious how you feel about these trends: which ones do you like, which ones you already have or are planning to get etc.

My take: I neither have nor like overalls and super-destroyed styles, so I will pass on those. I like (some) floral jeans but I do not own any, and unless I stumble upon a perfecting pair I will not be sporting those either. Slouchy skinnies are the most intriguing category for me- I sort of have some unintentional ones ( 1 or 2 sizes too big due too significant weight loss), but I am toying with an idea of getting a real BF-like pair. The rest I already have, like and wear. I am especially fond of high contrast styles, white denim, button-down shirts and dramatic flares. I am considering a pair with prominent vertical stripes.

I'm dull. I like (and already have) chambray button downs and slouchy skinnies. I'm intrigued by florals and metallics, but they really don't fit my lifestyle and body and age so I'll probably pass unless I find a super fun and very well priced pair of either.

I'm really liking my slouchy skinnies and silvery skinnies right now. Currently looking for a chambray shirt but haven't had any luck. I just tried on my white jeans from a few years ago and they are too small now Don't know if I'll be replacing them. And I'll be breaking out my flares!

Anna, I can totally see you in the overalls making them very cool. I will pass on them. I wore mens overalls from JCPenny when I was pregnant with my first. Of coarse that was in the early 80's and they were in style. lol

Silvery jeans might be kinda fun, and a chambray shirt and white jeans are always good, but none of the rest of this really appeals to me right now.

I reserve the right to change my mind, though!

I'm eyeing a J.Crew chambray shirt, and I need those white jeans! I'm also interested in a white denim casual straight/pencil skirt for summer. I'm not very fond of patterned denim, but you never know. Yesterday I picked up a classic denim jacket that seems to have filled a large hole in my wardrobe, I see my skirts and dresses in a new light today.

I'm boring, and really not fashion forward in regards of denim, but I'm wearing it again, which is a major change for me.

I'm set with chambray button-downs (have 2) and white denim. Skinnies appeal to me, but I don't know how slouchy I want them. I won't get them skin tight, that's for sure, but I'm not too into the slouchy look. I'm definitely not into patterned, coated, or distressed denim.

These shopbop emails just kill me. I had to sign off of this mailing list because it just made me want everything!! I love tuxedo jeans and just bought two pairs to replace a pair of pants that had worn out.

Hmm, I already have floral (my liberty jeans, and I would like more), slouchy, and destroyed. I would be interested in trying metallic (unless my brocade wit and wisdoms count, they are not really metallic but the print is kind of subtly metallic and shiny) and high constrast. Nay for me on high waisted, chambray button downs, overalls, white jeans, or dramatic flares. Although I actually like white jeans, I have NEVER managed to find a pair that are both truly opaque (as in, not showing seams and pocket linings) and not too hot for summer, plus I don't think I can keep them clean. I'll stick to my white denim jacket for my white denim fix.

Well, I'm certainly a late adopter, but I have to say the only one that really appeals is the white denim.
