After reading Dianthus's post on dropped crotch pants and my own desire to find some silky slouchy pants, I'm posting my disaster with Joie Alessandra pants that I adore on Rae, but didn't work at all on me or my body. First, I tried a 4, then a 2 and then a 0. Still looked awful and there was nowhere to go size wise and I realized I just needed to start over. Please forgive my appearance as I was not at the top of my game energy or style-wise.

They are packed and ready to go back on Monday. Too bad, so sad. I can't find the Leith woven track pants and these silk ones don't work. I'll be slouching around looking for just the right slouch! ^_^

How interesting! I'm so sorry they didn't work for you, Vicki. I'm a little perplexed since we had them on an IT and two curvy hourglasses at Shoptoberfest, and we all liked them. At least now you don't have to wonder about them. :T

I don't think they look awful, fit-wise. They slouch, but they don't look sloppy; they're drapey and tapered and soft looking. I think the color isn't that great on you. I wonder if that's a big factor in why you're not liking them. I love Rae's take: your curiosity about them is satisfied, anyway. I think you may find a pair you like, in color that is more you. I've tried on styles of pants that I only liked on me in darker colors; just a thought.

I'm sorry the pants didn't work out, but I just wanted to say that your expression in 2 really made me smile! YLF as usual! And I have no doubt you'll be able to track down a pair of perfect track pants soon!

Hey what size do you have? I may take them off your hands. i'm kind of regretting that I didn't get a pair, even though we all agreed they looked best on Rae. Can't remember what size we were tussling over at Shoptoberfest.

Vicki, try the ones at Forever 21 if you can find them! Seriously, they were dead ringers for the Leiths, except no ankle zips, but pocket zips instead. Really no difference in quality and the F21s were actually a little weightier fabric so not as static-clingy.

Well, experience is what you get when you don't get what you want. The good thing is you tried and now you know that these do not work for you. I like the scrunch at the ankle and the profile but these trousers do weird things to your thighs. I am going to blame the light weight of the fabric because the drape is completely off. Good luck at square 1. I know you will find the perfect pair!

I think you made the right decision. They look fine in side view, but I agree with DV that they do weird things with your thighs. I'm crossing my finger for better luck in the future.

i guess I am the only one liking the size in picture 5, but I am not too good with this type of pant. Off they need to go. You are too fab already. Wishing you the best of luck on the next pair. Did you try the Eileen Fisher ones? I finally broke down and got me a pair, and ended up returning the Leighs.

You definitely need the extra small. These are all sold out by now in the small and extra small. Bloomies is the only one with inventory left.

Ah, now I am feeling happy after hearing from all of you! Yes, Firecracker, I think it does have something to do with the color of the material. I really did want to get outside my solids, for a change, and try something different. But, you're right. This false plain of color does nothing for me.

Una and Zap, you two wunderkinds! Thank you for these links and when I get back from San Diego today, I'll do some serious investigating. Yay! Una, these are size 0 (from Amazon) and they did have a 2 and 4, because I just returned them!

Vicki, I have to go by F21 today to return stuff for my niece. Do you want me to check these out for you? My guess is you are one size down from me. I can take my measuring tape if you'd like. Alaska stuff is marked up a few dollars. PM your number if you want me to text pics or info to you.

Yes, that would be my guess - although F21 runs small. I'm usually a M in their sizing.
