Too hot for Cowboy boots at the beach?

I bought a really cute short dress that I would love to wear with cowboy boots. Problem being that I bought my dress for a trip to Florida and will be spending most of my time at the beach. Is it too hot right now for cowboy boots at the beach or walking around a small FL town?
Where's a good place to buy reasonable cowboy boots?
What may be a good alternative look?

Being from Florida I can tell you that yes it'll probably be far too hot and humid. If you're a cold-natured person you may be fine, but most people would be miserable at the beach and most other places in boots. I'd wear sandals or flip flops but I'm very hot-natured.

I don't live in Florida but I do live in the southwest where it's really hot in the summer and any sort of closed toe shoe is too hot. The hot weather is much more bearable with feet as close to bare as they can get.

Sorry but yeah. You'd be really uncomfortable and honestly, look kind of silly for summer in FL. You'll be fab up north, though!

That would be perfect for summer here but I imagine you would perish in Florida. Though aren't Uggs beachwear?

I grew up in FL. Beach or no beach, I'd be flat-out miserable wearing boots in the summer. I wouldn't even do it here in GA, or anywhere else in the South. For that matter, the summers are hot in IL where my mom is from, so I'd think you'd have to go pretty far north to be able to be comfortable wearing boots in the summer.
