Too dressy for a Christening?

I'm going to a Christening a week from Sunday, and I am the Godmother. The jacket is beige silky fabric with black lace overlay. Pic #2 is with the jacket off, the top is all full of static cling and of course it's clinging to my belly in the photo (ick!). A pair of Spanx and a can of Static Guard should take care of all problems!

Question #1 - too dressy, wear something more casual, or not too dressy?

Question #2 - Wear the blue top (it's blue, not purple) or wear a lower cut black top like in photo #3?

No, not too dressy at all...especially if you're the godmother. I'd go with either #2 (less dressy) or #3 (dressier) works. The lower-cut black top in #3 looks better with the jacket than the top in #1.

I think this is perfect for a Fall christening. I prefer the lower-cut top under this jacket (but love the blue top on its own!). So, I vote #3.

Nancylee and cobaltblue, I think I prefer the black top, too. I am just hoping the entire outfit isn't too dressy! I love the jacket and would like to wear it more.

Ooh! You look lovely. I don't think this is too dressy, although it does depend on your community, and you will know better than us.

I LOVE the blue top on you. Gorgeous. And I actually like it better with the jacket than top 3. So I would wear the jacket if it is chilly and take it off if it is not. The VC tube is fabulous on you.

You got a haircut, no? It looks great!
