Told the BF about sweaters on Cyber Mon sale for him

and he said I should buy a nice cashmere sweater for me for Christmas! I found a couple contenders.

Any thoughts on either one? Should I keep looking?

(And for those who wonder where the bright green fits in for me, I had a sweater by ON in this color that I loved but it shrank - pics 3/4)

I like the green one. The sheer one looks fun too, but the green is a really pretty on you and it sounds like you'll have plenty to wear with it. Plus, it looks cozy and warmth is something I would look for in a cashmere sweater.

First of all - what a sweet BF!

Now this is tough because I really REALLY like both of these sweaters and can see either one of them on you and working well with your wardrobe. They have very different vibes - the striped neutral one has more edge to it and I really like the asymmetrical hemline. The green one is a delicous colour that looks stunning on you and will show off your gorgeous figure with that obi-style wrap belt.

Which one works with more of your bottoms?

Good question, Shannon. Probably the green simply because it can be worn open or wrapped.
I suppose I should really think about the warmth factor, too, heading into the snowy months . . . hmm.
I really want them *both*! They do have different vibes.

It's true the more sheer neutral one isn't going to have much of a warmth factor.

I do think the green one is absolutely gorgeous. It has a simple but strong style if that makes any sense. Less trendy than the neutral one now that I look at it again.

Wow, this is a nice decision to have to make!

And a tough one.

Seems to me, you should consider which would have more options for wearing. I think the green one will be gorgeous on you, and great for the winter in the mountains.

The neutral one is really cool....but literally will not give you warmth. I would see it more as a spring/ fall piece over a cami. I am not sure if you could wear it in Florida?

I really like both, but the first one is such a great color and I love the wrap style, so if you can only choose one that would be my choice. Plus, time to replace your ON one that shrank!

Suz, thanks for the input. FL is hopefully a distant memory. We have said it before, though, so never say never. But we have all intentions to finally stay put in the mountains. I think the warmth factor alone will rule out the Helmut Lang. Besides, I have a light linen blend taupey blush cowlneck already.

Thanks for thinking this one through with me, ladies! Looks like it's the green. Now I start my stalking/hunting LOL.

Green green green! It is a tried and true color that is also missing from the closet right now, it can be worn open or closed, and the asymmetrical hem still feels like you.

The other has to be layered and has a vibe similar to other things you have.

Oops, looks like you decided already, lol! Yay, green!

The green is gorgeous! I love the color on it's own too, and the sweater looks stylish and very now. It also compliments your skin tone and hair perfectly so I would say this is by far the better of the two!

Love the colour of the green one. Will you get a chance to try it on before you buy it? The reason I'm asking is that I had something similar in merino wool and it was a complete nuisance to style. I would get it tied just so, and then throughout the day it would move and bunch up, especially if I lifted my arms. I gave up eventually and donated it. I'm curious too as to how this would look unwrapped. Would you fasten the ties somehow? With the wrap style, will one side hang quite a bit lower?
I hope it WILL work out for you because the green is so good with your colouring.

Both are beautiful Mo but I'm so glad you decided on the green as that colour looks fabulous on you.

It probably has more of an investment quality vibe to add to your wardrobe too.

With your hair down, the green is really stunning. I like the sheer one too, but that's something I'd buy and then never find occasion to wear personally.

I vote green - realistically it will get more wear in your casual capsules AND can be dressed up. Plus it's a great color on you!

Oh, I'm glad the green looks good to you all. Missvee, it is online, so I can't try it on, but I got measurements and read a review that someone belted it with their own belt, so the sash tie is removable. Also it can be worn open. I'm sure it looks like open cascade cardis do, with a slightly longer front. I also sometimes fiddled with wraps, but once I put them up high at the top of my waist, it solved much of that for me.
Now to just wait and watch for prices to change hee hee.

Yay green!!! If I had the Helmut Lang, I would immediately snag it on something and then I would have a huge hole in the $$$ thing and then I would be frantically contacting IK on how to make more so that the holes look intentional, LOL.
