Today's haul from the Rack: Me Too flats and Treesje bag

So I've been trying to fill out my collection of flats, since I am primarly a sandal-and-boot gal. At the Rack, I got a great deal ($20) on these purple snakeskin Me Too flats:

I got my regular size (7.5) and they fit, but are a smidge tight. Will they loosen up?

Also, I made a big splurge on the Treesje Marley handbag. It was deeply discounted, which was very attractive The leather is to die for, and I love the gunmetal hardware:

It is a large bag, though. I really like large bags, but do you think this is overwhelming me?

Omg, that bag is fantastic.

For what it's worth, I've been able to make Me Too flats (different style, the Noble, I think) more comfortable simply by hand-stretching them. Basically, I figure out where they hurt and spend like 15 minutes pulling at them in that spot while I watch TV or wherever. Now they're the flats I pack in my work bag when I want a pair to change into from heels at the end of the day.

LOVE the flats. The Rack always has a great selection of Me Too. In my experience Me Toos run about a 1/2 size small, but I'm not sure if they stretch or not...

The bag is so yummy too! I think it looks great! It's very much your style.

Cute purple flats..my guess is they will stretch, but I have no reference. I LOVE big bags too, and I don't think it overwhelms you...and you love it sooooo KEEP and enjoy")

The bag is perfect on you. In my experience when I go up half a size in Me Too, the shoe doesn't stay on my foot. But when I go down they are too tight. That probably doesn't help...

KILLER bag.

I did not find those Me Too's comfortable on the toe box which is why I purchased the Me Too "Nadias" instead - but your feet might be narrower than mine!

Oh nice, I love those shoes! In my experience, my Me Toos tend to stretch out about half a size when they are soft leather - I buy them to fit a little on the tight side so they won't be too big later on. If the toes are patent leather, like the Swanns, then they don't seem to stretch as much.
Unfortunately I had the same experience as Angie - the toe box on the Garners (I think that's the style you purchased) didn't work on me at all. (My toes are a funky shape, though - they are narrow but all the same length.)

I have those flats, and they still pinch a bit in the toes. I have fairly regular width feet. I've had them awhile too, so I don't think they're going to get any bigger. I do love them though, they are very cool, and I wear them all the time.

I love the bag but maybe it is a bit big for you? But I like them a little smaller than that.

Wowie Zowie! Luv the bag! I'm drawn to unstructured bags and this grey is not too light or dark. The studs give it a fun edge. The size looks good on you! Oh, I'm jealous!!

oh the bag is sooo great. I love it and feel it does not overwhelm you in the slightest due to the length of the strap.

The shoes are gorgeous. I hope they become more comfortable for you.

Great flats - I hope they work for you because they look divine.

I love the Treesje bag too! I like Loiuise's suggestion about keeping the rest of your outfit sleek to contrast the oversized bag. I think you'll find the grey is a nice 'neutral' too.

P.S. Are those Goldenbleu boots in the bag picture? If so, did you get them when Mui-Hai singlehandedly helped them close?

As far as the shoes go, they didn't have any left in size 8. My feet are on the narrow side, so the toe box is actually fairly comfortable. If they were a tiny bit longer, they'd be perfect.

Dashrashi -- Interesting about pulling them by hand! I wouldn't have thought out that. Maybe I'll try that with some of the tighter spots.

You guys make a good point about the unstructured nature of the bag making it not seem overwhelming -- I think that's it! I do prefer unstructured bags over structured ones.

Louise -- that make sense about keeping the clothes sleek! Will definitely do that.

mnsara -- this is my first gray bag, so I am excited to have a nice neutral. Good eye spotting the boots! Yes, they are Goldenbleu Carlys. I found out on the liquidation and emailing Mui-Hai for boots too late, but found a pair on eBay from someone who had gone to the warehouse sale they were having (with the crazy deals), and was selling the boots for basically the price she paid!
