I would like to purchase a sleeveless nightgown and robe set. Something kind of pretty but still in cotton or other natural fibers; support for the girls would be a bonus.
Wondering if you all might have some suggestions? Do you have a favorite item to sleep in?

No support, but I like Lands End sleep tees. I have long sleeve mid calf for winter, and short sleeve knee length for summer. I used to have woven nightgowns, but the knitted ones are so much more comfortable IMO. They do have matching robes, but I don't have any.

I don't know of a way to combine a nightgown with support, but I do wear a sleep bra. Currently the Teri 2756 - very inexpensive, and works perfectly well for sleeping. (I'm about 30F and both 32D and 32DD are acceptable.) My nightgowns are usually 60s vintage - I find them very comfortable, and quite pretty and long-wearing. My favorite has a matching peignoir.

There is 2 lines QVC that I love Carol Hochman and Stan Herman. True to size cotton breathable. I've worn them for years.

Perhaps consider sourcing supportive and set pieces separately? I've been wearing, of all things, a sports bra that became too loose for sports, underneath, of all things, a silk Eileen Fisher long sleeveless tunic that I wasn't ever going to wear as a tunic. The cuts of both somehow work well together. They don't technically match my microfleece dressing gown, but all are black, all are very comfortable, and these days that's good enough. And I even feel feminine, if not directly pretty.

Or what about having the set made, if your budget and local sewist talent permit, around a lounge bra that fits well? How did the Bali work out?

JAlleen and Thistle: Lands End! I wouldn't have thought to look there. I can see adding their Sleep-T to my wardrobe, as it's so close to the t-shirts I usually sleep in.

Ginger - yes, I also usually wear a sleep bra (actually technically a nursing bra for sleeping) although mine are sized S,M,L so less supportive than yours. Your 60's vintage pajamas sound lovely.

Ledonna: I googled around and found a tunic/halftan from Stan that I thought was really cute. So thank you! Good to know you've had such a good experience with them.

Amy: I love the idea of sleeping in an EF tunic, that sounds just luxurious. I could probably sew something myself, or at least would feel wrong paying someone for something I could/should be sewing myself....

It's pretty and the eucalyptus Tencel fabric is way more comfortable than my previous cotton sleepwear--softer and more breathable. And did I say pretty?

Another fan of Soma sleepwear here. I used to require cotton but I was gifted a Soma rayon sleep shirt and I loved it so much I bought a few more. No support but you can layer them over a lounge bra. I also have a lounge bra from Soma but it only offers very light support.

Gaylene: Those are really nice. I'm interested in the tencel fabric being more comfortable than cotton. I can see adding this type of pj to my list of to purchase. It looks super comfortable.

UmmLila and Colette: I hadn't seen Soma's offerings. That's pretty much exactly what I think I want--especially if the rayon is as comfortable as you all say. And there is a new Soma store at the mall near me! I will make a point to venture in there and try on a few things. very excited.
