To buy or not to buy? That is the question.

I went for a little window shop after work yesterday & found 3 things in the entire shopping centre (mall) that I might buy.

1-4. PB top. I really like this one. You will have to pretend that I am wearing a cami & that you can't see my green bra.

5-7 - This is a jumper/sweater with an interesting neckline. I'm only half sure about this one. I feel that the high neckline gives me mono boob.

8-11. I'm not sure about this one. It is well made & feels good on, but I think the waist area is akward. I tried belting in #11 & it got worse. #10 shows the detail on the shoulder.

I like the first top best and it looks like it fits you well. I'm usually not a fan of this type of sleeve, but they seem ok on this blouse. They draw the eye to your bust because of where they end, but the big bow sort of off sets them.
I think the second top would look better on you with a lower V or scoop neckline, but the ruched sleeves are fun and it looks pretty good in the third photo. The last piece is my least favorite and I think you can do better. The fit just doesn't look right.

Hi Joy,

Normally I don't like capped sleeves either. Mainly because I do a fair bit of weight work at the gym & they don't fit at all or make my arms look ginormous.

I suppose the other question is are these bows a 1 yr trend or will they be around longer? The top is $100 & the more I think about it the more I want it but I need to know if it has a short shelf life. Angie????

I think you may be right about the others as well. I would love the second top if it had a better neckline & the dress I was never sure about.

To be honest, I'm not loving any of these - I don't think they are all that flattering and I don't love the color of #2 on you with the neckline. You should discount my view on the PB, though, because I am biased against them in general.

I'm not blown away, but my nay vote was mostly because YOU don't sound blown away. I feel that you will eventually find something that absolutely delights you, so you should save your pennies for that eventuality!

#1 -- not sure about the giant neck bow. #2 -- maybe a little clingy on the boobs. #3 -- third time lucky! Very cute, and flattering (I think), but like Rae says, if you're not loving any of them, maybe it's better to wait. If in doubt, go without (I sound like my mom).

PB Blouse is too expensive! For that money I would want one that looks better made. Sorry to be harsh but they are overcharging.

I am alone in liking the second top, I think it's got interesting details and I think it fits and flatters you!

I like the dress but the fit doesn't look right, like something is weird around the high hip/low waist area (some pulling), keep looking and good luck! You have an hourglass figure and I don't think they are impossible to shop for, you will find more options.

I like the first top, but it seems expensive for something that you don't love and that might not have that long of a shelf life anyway. I actually do like the second top, too, but I don't love it and it doesn't sound like you do either. I think the fit on the dress isn't perfect. So, I say nay to all and keep looking.

I like the first one, but if it's too expensive you can find better, a PB silk blouse, silk is soft and drapes better.
The second has a lovely neckline, but the color..
the dress doesn't do you justice!
