EDIT: To buy or not to buy! Jacquard Pants + 2nd Question

My search for the perfect jacquard/brocade pants continues:) I tried the ones Caro bought twice and decided that they looked so much better on her than me:) But I came across these today. I have seen them in store and have just tried them on and the fit is good. I am in between sizes but am happy to have th larger size altered.
They are a black and gold, (not a bright gold, quite subdued) and drape very nicely on the leg (straight leg).

What do you think? Worth taking home for a play in my wardrobe?

EDIT: So far we like them, what do you think of these, with the right pieces, for the wedding I am going to??

I like these. I have been eyeing off various jacquard pants on Asos. I like the dark background on the pair you are looking at. I think it makes them versatile.

Angie are you making a funny about my height lol (remember I am 5"1)? They are full length, grown up pants, not cropped and they are so long I nearly fell over them in the dressing room. I would actually have to take up the hem

I have noticed that as we are moving towards the cooler months, full length pants are now appearing in stores (thank goodness) and the colour that suprised me today was green. Quite a bit of it around and not a jewel tone but more of a murky tone

Gorgeous! I have a pencil skirt in a very similar fabric and it looks so luxe. Will be a fabulous piece for your wardrobe! Can't believe you are 5"1, you look very tall in your WIWs.

You know Deb I have hard time believing you are 5'1" - you look much taller in the pictures.

If you remember I am not a huge fan of patterned pants, however I do like these. I like them much better than the other patterned pants you showed us. That pair looked they would wear you but these are more ??restrained or something along those lines, lol. And would be fine for the wedding.

I think I saw them on-line somewhere recently and took a closer look, then decided they were not my colours.
For your dressier taste and possible wedding wear they will be good, and if you have to alter they will be the perfect fit!

I'm stressing about the weather for this wedding as I really won't know what to expect until a few days prior. Tried a stunning dress today but didn't have my size :). Chasing that up at the moment too x

These look similar to a WH/BM and if so the fabric and colors are great - I regretted not trying some. Trending but not flashy, a luxe effect, as you noted.

I like these a LOT and think they would be a great dressy choice for a wedding. I've been looking for something similar in case I change my mind about the dress I bought to wear to one this summer. I just don't really do dresses but it's hard to find dressy pants that don't seem too casual. These look like a great option!

great find. brocade pants dan be tricky to fit depending on the fabric. this one is very wedding appropriate. festive but not overly flash. what will you wear on top? and can we talk about the shoes???
