With our recent spate of very cold weather, I find myself reaching for my tissue-weight turtleneck shirts to layer under my sweaters. Besides a little extra warmth, they’re also good for a soft layer on my neck, which seems to be rash-prone in the dry cold air these days (eczema? I’m not sure but need to visit my dermatologist to get some answers).

I have burgundy and olive ones from J Crew factory store a year or so ago, and a black one that Ive had for long enough that the tag is gone. I’d like another one in charcoal or grey. Apparently the J Crew one is popular because it seems to be sold out online.

Has anyone run across a good one? I want *lightweight* and not tight, and a neck that is neither tight nor floppy. No mock turtlenecks for me. High cotton content is good, modal is ok too. A little stretch if it helps with shape retention.

Any suggestions?
