Tissue weight shirts - your thoughts?

No, that's about what I use mine for, too. I like the weight, which is enough to keep you buffered from sweaters. The only issue arises when you have to take your outer layer off, because tissue-weights certainly are sheer!

I have one from Old Navy that I use for loungewear, but I don't like having to layer under it in case I want to take the outer layer off, if that makes sense. Basically, I think they're too much work. They would probably be good for colder climates, though, where you might never want to take the outer layer off.

I like them, but you must have a least two. I think that layering two tissue weight stretchy knit tee shirts is far more forgiving, in terms of camouflaging jiggle, than wearing one normal weight stretchy knit tee shirt.

They're great for layering. That's all I use them for. I'm glad I don't have to layer one thick fabric on top of another! The thin fabric looks so much better because it doesn't create bulk.

I only use them for layering too. And I layer everything ! I will use one almost as a lightweight sweater. I will put it on over a dress if I get chilly, I will put it on at the beach...anytime that something substantial is just too warm, but I need something.

I do like them under vests . I like to wear them under a linen vest for summer. I agree that they are VERY unforgiving on their own.
