I have my wedding hair/makeup trial on Thursday, and am a little confused about tipping. Is one supposed to tip for this? And whom do I tip? For the actual wedding day, I am planning to give the 2 artists cash tips. For the trial, it will be the two artists as well as the owner of the business, who is not doing my hair/makeup but will be there to supervise.
Related question: It is one charge for hair/makeup together. So is it appropriate to just split the 15-20% tip in half (one half for each artist?)
I am a little clueless about tipping etiquette these days because the only beauty professional I see regularly is my hairdresser, who owns the salon. So when I see her, I just put the whole tip on the check since I know she'll get it all anyway.
