Time to pick a watch! Gold, Rose Gold, Tortoise?

I have a slim silver Movado watch that I have worn exclusively for 2 years now. I had a white chunky watch over the summer that I really enjoyed wearing, and now I'd like a chunkier watch to wear in winter/fall. First I fell for gold, then my mom got a rose gold watch and I lusted after it for a bit, and now I am sort of really liking tortoise shell

Here's the deal:
1) I need to pick ONE.
2) I need to avoid Michael Kors prices.

Which one would you think would get more use? And is there such thing as a cheap alternative to MK that doesn't look cheap?

Have you looked at TJ Maxx or Burlington or the Rack? They have lots of watches in this style, sometimes even MK at a discount. I got my MK gold watch at NAS last year. It was still pricey but I don't regret it. It goes with everything. It complements and completes every outfit.

We are watch soulmates. I have a slim silver Skagen I wear, my casual summer one is a red sport watch (but I've got a ceramic white one on my wishlist). I first thought rose gold, but then the tortoise came out and I was hooked. I wear a lot of golds and browns and love it.
I'm not sure what your price range is, but have the Michael Kors one (the cheapest one Nordstrom had on sale before Christmas - it was $100) and told DH when it went on discount and that it was to be my Bday present.
I have seen the Anne Klein one and it's pretty nice, there is also the Fossil one which is similar to mine:

I have a rose gold Michael Kors that I love. Another vote for checking the Rack.

I'd also head to the Rack. I just bought a MK watch there for under $80 and it's EXACTLY what I was looking for!

No brand suggestions, but I've never seen a tortie watch! Sounds gorgeous - I vote for that kind!

Another vote for MK check Dillards too. Sometimes they are discounted heavily.

What I've been told (by an employee at a Fossil store) is that Fossil makes MK's watches. I'd go with a Fossil, whatever you choose, unless you can get a super-discounted MK.

I've been pining for a rose gold watch, which was exacerbated further by seeing Anna's amazing rose gold watch at the last meet up My sis then bought me an awesome Fossil one for Christmas, which is currently waiting to be resized. If you find a rose shade that suits you, I vote for that though the tortoise watch is pretty neat (and unexpected).

Watches always stop on my wrist (enter the: i have an electric personality joke) so i don't know much about them nor wear them. But i've really liked those rose gold colored watched on others and how they blend them in with a bunch of fun bracelets. So that would be my vote!

Choose the color that best compliments your skintone. The tortoise one would bookend your hair in an attractive way if it looks good on your wrist.

I even saw some MK watches at Ross when I was in the US over American Thanksgiving week.
