So, I've talked a lot about things that have caught my eye lately. In the spirit of full disclosure, I purchased three items: two because I realized a real need for base layers, and one -- well, as a fun purchase. All told, I spent less than $150, and I'm very much looking forward to these buys. They will work very well with my staple bottoms of skinny jeans.
I know I had intended not to purchase anything in January, but that kind of stringent living was not to be. To some degree it's need, and to some degree it's because I'm living on the knife's edge work-wise and needed a treat. I'm okay with that, because frankly, none of this was impulse. I thought and thought and thought. And then thought some more. So that's progress. I'm happy to be pocketing the rest of my budget for now and letting it sit. I would like it to continue to sit. Just sit. Stay. STAY.
Striped thermal from JCrew. I love a high-necked crew, and this saturated preppy color will be fun in the dead of winter. Not glam, but definitely gamine. On sale for $20.
Gray cashmere blend l/s tee from Kit and Ace. Really wanted to try this brand, and this is a perfect thing to try. A more sophisticated base layer, in the perfect shade for my new cashmere wrap. Potentially glam, maybe not gamine. On sale for $48.
The Supernova tank from Emerson Fry. Glam, gamine, different and fun. On sale for $74.
