Time to change my specs?

You never see me with my glasses on because I only wear them for reading and when I'm in front of a computer - which is all day at work. I'm a little late to the realization that I should probably consider them part of my work wardrobe accessories. These are the frames I have now. They are a coppery color. Tried to get a couple of angles including a not-so-flattering face forward shot! What do you think of the style? Time for an upgrade or are these okay?

Christy, you are even prettier close-up, so don't worry about it! These look modern enough to me, but I'll let the others comment on fit and flattery, which I am clueless about. I think Angie might be traveling today, or getting ready to leave, so you might need to re-post this in an Ask Angie later.

Nothing wrong with these per se but for reading glasses I guess I'd try to go for a very light frame or frameless design if possible. But I prefer mine to sort of "disappear" as I've always had a hard time choosing a style.

I would say yes, if you are inviting opinions :). I feel like glasses that are rounder and wider (height-wise) are more current, but this is subjective of course!

I like those on you but I am not too current on glasses fashion. I couldn't decide when I needed new rx for mine (and I rarely wear them) so just replaced lens in my frames which are similar to yours but a tortoiseshell.
How long has it been since you choose these and are you due for a eye checkup?

Christy, to me these frames still look very current and flattering. I don't think you need to have "geek glasses" that are trendy right now to have current frames. I like the shape and especially how the top curve really follows your brow line well. You could go a tad narrower in your next frame-these extend a bit beyond the width of your face-but I certainly don't think these scream out for an update. I like them!

Are these transition lenses? In the last pic the lens looks a little dark.

I think these look fantastic on you already, so would only suggest updating if you feel like you want a change.

I think these look great! If your glasses are a strong accessory in your repetoire, you could consider a second pair (I have 5 frames because glasses are my main accessory as well as necessary to see!). But these look flattering and current to me.

These glasses suit you beautifully, Christyg. Perhaps you want an alternative pair just to switch it up sometimes? These are chic and flattering, so I wouldn't worry!

I am really clueless when it comes to the right styles of glasses, but I think these look wonderful on you, Christy. Of course, if you feel like mixing it up, another pair is not a bad idea at all;-)

So, it seems that these meet with approval for the most part and don't seem terribly dated, so that's good. My eye exam isn't for a couple of months but I think I'll start looking for another pair of frames so I can have some variety. I've had these for a couple of years now so it might be nice to have a different style to change things up a bit! I'll start by looking at some more rounded styles like Jonesy suggests - good to have something specific to look for as I get somewhat paralyzed when selecting glasses of any sort. It takes me AGES to settle on a pair of sunglasses!

Kari, they aren't transition lenses - just bad lighting at 6 am on a rainy Seattle day!

I'm a big fan of having variety in glasses frames! If you have two great pairs, all the more fun.

Rainy is an understatement today. I had to pull over coming back from lunch because it was too heavy to see while driving! Wow.

These are still well worth keeping, Christy. But I love the idea of looking for something new as well. It will be fun to change things up. And if you wear them all day at the computer, it's a reasonable investment, I'd say!

The shape seems OK (I'm not spec savvy at all) however, I dunno if it's the photo or not, but they seem to cut across the top of your. I think I'd prefer something that hit just below your brow so your computer can see the whole of your pretty eyes
