I've removed everything else... it's the booties that are tormenting me. Someone says they like them, and I decide to keep... then someone comments on the round toe and they go into the return bag.... these booties are getting a ton of mileage just between the shoe shelf and the return bag and they haven't even left my room!

yay or nay? No, I cannot think for myself.

Still not a big fan of the first sweater but I love the second one! The shoes I could see the slipperish effect once you mentioned it but not sure I would have otherwise. The red blouse looks almost hot pink on my monitor so I'm not sure. Sorry, not much help am I??

Still not excited about 1, but for $12 it's good for what you need it for.

If YOU feel fab in number one, keep it. It would be the sort of thing I would talk myself into (good color, fiber content and price), and then not wear much because of how it would make me feel.

LOVE the cardigan. This one is a no-brainer. Makes you look so young and slim.

Booties are cute, and I like them with the bootcuts as well (slipper toe, haha!). Keep in mind they will make a click-click sound when you walk (unlike slippers) and part of the shoe will be visible when you stride and sit down. If they are this good-looking AND comfortable, I say keep!

Oh, and red top look hot pink in my moniter, too, sorry I can't advise.

I think I like those shoes when either the whole vamp is showing (photos 6/7) or if you had wide-leg trousers where the tip just peaks out. The in-between looks (8-12) look not quite right to my eye. I don't see any problems with 1-5. You can wear that red.

okay, you all are exactly right... even a $12 sweater isn't worth keeping if it's just meh. Back it goes.. that $12 can go toward something more fab (or even lunch)

I'm glad the sweater is going back. The second one is nice although I'm not sure if that ruffle look is still "in"? I have one like it, actually. The shirt looks good too, though hot pink here! I sent back the Aerosoles as they were mismatched in print. I think they do the job (and they were comfy!), but something about the toe box shape is bothering me now that it's been mentioned.

I agree that the first sweater is meh. So, it's good you're returning it. . .

The BR sweater has a sweet look about it. I like it, but Una's comment has me wondering. I also have ruffle phobia for me (not on others where I enjoy them vicariously), so I'm not objective.

Red blouse looks very hot pink to me too, but you always look good in those vibrant red/pink colors, so I bet you look good in this one too.

I have hesitations about those booties. I LOVE leopard and almost all incarnations of leopard, but there IS something about the toe that makes me pause. I can't put my finger on it, You mentioned 'slippers', but I'm wondering if it's the combination of edgy leopard with NON-edgy toe shape. It makes it look too 'practical'? Sorry, I'm certainly not an expert, just a leopard lover that has some doubts. . .

I really like the ruffle sweater, and see a lot of possibilities for it. I am not sure about the color of the blouse on you - so hard to tell from phone pictures, though. I would use your own best judgment on that.

#1 - Not keen on the color for you but at that price you can make it work. I think it would like nice with some vertical lines in it to lessen the widthness of the top. Maybe a nice long chain or scarf?

#2 - Same as above, not keen on the color it seems a bit washy on you. Maybe with a brighter colored or white tank?

#3 - Im picturing some gold chains with this red shirt for some reason, not too crazy about it on you but I cant really put my finger on it.

#4 - Im loving the idea of these booties. I think I've seen them styled with shorted cropped pants, like just above the ankle so you show a bit of skin maybe?

Well I actually don't dislike #1, I think it could be cute with skinny jeans, but don't keep it if you won't be reaching for it. I am a fan of ruffles so think #2 is a cute layering piece. I love the red on you, gorgeous and I love that blouse. I think the booties are very cute!! Prefer them in #6 and #7 - can't see full length really but seems like your legs are long enough to pull this off! Also don't mind them with the straight legs. Perhaps a wide leg or trouser with them just peeking out would be another option?

Yay on the booties. They are different from everything else that you have and, from what I have seen of your wardrobe, they will go with a lot.

I think that they will be very versatile and really add some kick to your wardrobe. They remind me of refined edge, which I think is very you.

You know, the toe shape still bothers me, but I personally am not fond of round toe shoes except in a few cases (and not just on me, but on most people). I think these do look nice, but with this toe shape not terribly edgy (if that's possible for leopard print booties...) which is my issue with them. So, sorry to comment on the round toe again

Isabel... perhaps that's what drew me to them. Edgy, without being over the top? For some reason I don't care for the ones that have the wedge heel also covered in the leopard print. But then I think maybe I'm just being too conservative.....

QM, I can totally see that. They do have this hard to find balance of edgy refinement. That is what hit me as soon as I looked at them. They are not at all over the top. An animal print shoe, in and of itself, is a bit edgy, but the shape keeps it very classic. I hope that makes sense.

If you want edgy without over the top, I do think these would fit the bill. I find the Matisse pair edgier, yet with a classic shape, (and I've been waiting for the mailman to arrive with them myself), but if you don't care for them I don't think that's a sign of over conservatism Hopefully Angie will chime in on this pair for you!

I'm hung up on the toe - like Aida. But when I reviewed the pics, I'm also hung up on the space around your ankle and the height of where the boot hits.

I was all set to say that I think this toe shape would look better to me if worn with dark hose and skirt/dress, then I saw the gap and I don't like where it hits. You have such slim, graceful legs and ankles and these look too big to me. (I know there is often a gap, but the combo of size of the gap with where it hits makes a big difference.)

I'll readily admit that there are many bootie styles that my eye might never get used to, so it could just be me. . .

I like the booties and I don't mind the round toe. The only concern I have that they look a bit too big in the ankle on bare legs. Mind you, it is a close up so it may not be a problem IRL. However I am still newbie when it comes to stylish footwear so I am not sure you should be listening to me anyway...:-)

Okay - did you try *these* on at Macy's? The toe here is not as rounded and the top opening narrower and higher, price is $10 more.

They are not in any stores around me, there are no reviews online, but maybe they look worth checking out?

P.S. Are you undecided because other people didn't love them, or in your gut are you unsure?

How much did you pay for them? They aren't terrible, but I think that they are a little too big around the ankle. That's not an issue if you are only going to wear them with pants, but with skirts, I think they look a little ill-fitting. Not bad, but little off ...

I like the combination of the round toe and the print as it does give a balance between edgy and "out there."

The only hesitation I have is Sara's point: the gap at the back of the ankle makes the shoes look too big...it makes it look as though there's also a gap at the back of your heel. So yay if you're going to wear them only with pants but nay if you want to also wear them with dresses/skirts.

LOL on the boot brain you mention, Aida! Fall is all about the boot brain, isn't it?

I just can't decide about these booties, Queen Mum. One the one hand, they look comfy and pretty good with the skinnies and the other jeans. OTOH, there is something about the rounded shape and the gap at the back that makes them not so perfect...But, are they really comfy and inexpensive? Maybe that could tip the scales. How do you feel about them?

I hate to vote nay...but there's something not quite right about these booties. They look a little costume-y rather than fashion-y.

My opinion is if they're causing you this much confusion they probably aren't worth keeping.
