Tiffany-inspired charm bracelets - yay or nay?

As part of my apartment perge, I came across a piece I forgot I owned -- a total knockoff of the Tiffany chain-link bracelets with a single heart charm on the clasp. This is one of the few topics I've never seen come up around here. What's the consensus on pieces like this? Do they look dated? Juvenile? Add a nice touch of sparkle?

I rather like charm bracelets, so I say go for it, I have an apple themed one I cobbled together with Ebay bits thanks for reminding me I need to wear it more x

I am totally the wrong person to ask, but I don't think of them as dated or juvenile. I just gave one to DD for Christmas and wouldn't mind one for my 40-something self. I think they're sweet.

I'm curious to hear what others think.

it's a classic piece of jewelry particularly if you are planning to collect more charms on it. for me, that's the charm (pardon the pun) of a charm bracelet.

I love charm bracelets! I have tiny wrists but I do not let that stop me from wearing bracelets heavy with charms. I have some that were my mother's and the patina they now have is irresistible! I know the "bead" type (Pandora, Troll) of charm bracelets are popular today but I want the old fashioned chains with the cute items hanging off of them. Adore!

My future MIL gave me one of these for our engagement and had Brian and my initials engraved in the heart. Honestly, I'm not a fan and only wear it when I see her. She told me she debated between getting me a pearl bracelet or the Tiffany bracelet... guess which I would have preferred?

I think they are classic as well. I also think that they've become slightly (slightly) trendy recently, I feel like I've been seeing charm bracelets for sale more in the past year or two. I also think a charm bracelet would fit well with your style, Michelle.

About 8-10 years ago, everyone I knew (except me!) seemed to have one of these. For that reason alone, Michelle, I would vote "probably not." However, I do feel that if you personalized it by adding more charms to it, then it would be totally fine.

The fact that so many people on the board don't seem to know the exact bracelet, however, leads me to believe that maybe it isn't as widespread and popular as I thought?

I know it did have a big popularity craze at least among young girls a few years ago, but I still think it is classic and beautiful. I also have a charm bracelet. The idea just appeals to me.

Steph, that is the bracelet I was thinking of, I still think the style is classic and would not appear dated. I have a friend who wears the coffee bean necklace, which went through a similar popularity spell and she receives many compliments on it.

Would removing the heart be an option?

If it's like the photo posted, I think it's still updated, in fact here in Europe this style is strong now..
