Hi everyone,
My absence lately is largely due to the recent departure of our younger son, who is in Swab Summer (boot camp) at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy. One of the most amazing things he will do both this summer and next summer is sail on the Eagle, America's oldest tall ship, and the only one still under active military command.

When Eagle is in port it is open to the public for tours. I encourage everyone to make a visit if you live near one of the ports, meet the cadets and swabs (the most polite young people you will ever encounter) and see this beautiful ship. Ben will be in the first phase, embarking from Norfolk and the tour times are below. The dates for the next 2 ports are also listed, but I'm not 100% sure of tour times, etc..

I'll have more details in the coming days, so PM me if you are interested. I'm sure it will be well publicized in local news/papers, etc...

Norfolk, VA - July 23, 24 - Tours 10 a.m. - 7 p.m.

Salem, MA - July 30, 31

NYC - August 6,7

Semper paratus!
