I had some photos for Mother's Day but missed it. I ended up pulling out a few photos of my grandmother, aunt and Mom.
Grandma and her sister shopping. I'm guessing this is late 1940s to 50s. My Grandma shopped almost until she dropped. My Mom was horrified to find that Grandma still owed money to a local dress shop when she died--age 80.
Grandma showing off as a 1920s fashion plate. I think that is my cousin, so would be mid to late '20s.
I came across this portrait of Grandma--I think I had a photo of my Mom in the same dress. Late 40s, I'm guessing.
Mom age 17--would have been 1926-7--showing off the hairdo.
This one says Mom age 15. So 1924-5.
Yeah, my Dad said they made bathtub gin in his grandma's bathtub.
