Last week I was having an urge to go shop (spend some time browsing, really) and given my post-Christmas budget, that meant thrifting. I had good luck, too - you thrift fiends know that it can always be hit or miss. Here's some of what I picked up, from two different shops:

two summer skirts - blue/white striped linen with adorable kickpleats (that's the back), and embroidered brown linen - and a black summer top with an interesting neck detail

then I managed two pieces that I can wear now:

5 Dec - the skirt is thrifted and gray/purple plaid on the bias (ignore the lining showing in the pic, sigh). This one I think has a definite 70s vibe to it, but maybe it's just all those photos I've seen of my mom wearing a turtleneck and a bias-cut skirt. [turtleneck, Gap; shoes, Bandolino/Marshalls]

10 Dec - today I happily broke out the new thrifted chocolate brown cord blazer, which can now replace my old one, also thrifted (always a bit too big, and now just ludicrously so). [pink top, Coldwater Creek; jeans, Eddie Bauer; heels, Mudd/Kohl's]

For all 5 pieces it was less than $30 - not bad, I thought. Oh yeah, I also picked up a basic knit crewneck in charcoal gray, didn't even bother photographing that one.

Has anyone else picked up something fun from their recent thrift store shopping?
