Thrift shop finds and this is so not my style

Looking to our spring and I didn't have anything that fits. After my rant about chino pants, I've ended up with 3 pairs!
Last week I found these slouchy pair on sale. They are high waisted which I don't suit but they are so comfortable that I'm going to wear somehow. I'm going to hem them or cuff them higher.
2- 4 stopped at an op shop and found these colouted NYDJ pants. They are American sizes and both fit (one is a bit baggier) so I got both of them and the jacket is a NZ designer. They are all light weight and I thought they would be good for spring /summer. I just need to figure out what to wear with them. Ib would never have considered them before.
Ideas, comments and feedback appreciated.
Note. I'm starting from scratch as I don't have many summer clothes that fit.

The coloured pants are great with black. I just read your comment on Angie's blog about wearing black every day!
How are the high waisted pants for comfort? I think they'd look good cuffed a little shorter.
You have the knack for finding the gems in the op shops - I'm jealous!

Three cheers for thrift shops! These should be great for your Summer. My only advice would be to play with the hems in front of a full-length mirror, experimenting with rolling & turning under at different lengths, and with different footwear, until you find what works for you. I especially like the turquoise pants, which I would love to see worn with a loose white cotton shirt or blouse, and maybe a turquoise necklace, for a fresh summery look. The cobalt blue ones are just begging for a striped sailor tee and sneakers or espadrilles . . . Have fun!

Great colors for summer! Black is always good, and I'd suggest trying them with some lighter and/or brighter colored tops to see how you like that. Maybe a white, tan, ivory or pale grey with the cobalt blue ones. Not sure what would go with the "aqua" ones and I'm not even sure what to call that color

Another vote for cuffing or rolling the hems a bit.

I think cuffing is a good idea. Personally, I like the look of a higher cuff closer to 4" above ankle), but that's just me (see first pic) And that length might not work with the bagginess of the pant. You'll have to play around. I like your shoes and also think the pants would look great with sneakers.

As for color, I looked through your other WIW posts. What about aqua pants cuffed with white striped shirt and white sneakers? Cobalt and black are always nice, so you could do your blacked striped shirt. Would your tweed blazer work? Personally, when I wear bright colors I have an easier time mixing them with middle contrast colors (gray, denim, etc) as opposed to black.

Tulle I think the turquoise pants fit better than the cobalt. I'm tempted to ask my American in laws to buy me some more when they come at Christmas. Do the sizes in NYDJ run consistently? I have a turquoise necklace..I even have turquoise wedges!
Chris you were one that gave me the idea to buy chino pants. You don't know what you've started. I'm practically planning my spring /summer wardrobe around them.
Meredith thanks so much for all your ideas and taking the trouble to look at what I already had. I love the pics you chose. I have white sneakers like that. I also have wedges but now i want those brown shoes with a bit of heel. They almost look wooden. I love them.
So my next things on the wishlist are brown woodeny sandals and a light denim jacket.

I love the new pants! I think you've picked up great pieces to rebuild your summer wardrobe.
Love the shoes here. And as another 'black lover', I think that's a fail-proof choice for tops & blouses. I like 1, 2 & 3 but feel that #4 can do with a different top. Perhaps white? Stripes? Or light chambray?

Thanks Maneera. I was not really styling the pants as I had been wearing that top all day but I think that you are right ...my black with white stripes would suit the mint or turquoise while the cobalt would suit a lighter top.
