Three work WIW - YouLookFab Forum

My work week looks really gave me trouble this week. All of these required multiple pictures and wardrobe changes. That can be really draining. The ever changing weather dust help. We had snow in the forecast for Thursday going into the week.

#2 actually ended up having the jacket swapped out for a cardigan as I was running to the car, but I didn't have the heart to go back for a pic.

#3 made me happy because I got to wear my brand new sandals. I hope they hold up all summer because I plan to wear them to death. They have an ultra comfy 1.5 in wedge, that gives me a tiny height boost with no ankle or knee concerns. I also grabbed this dress from old navy in orange. I love these sort of easy dresses for summer.

I'm confused Traci - you say your work week looks gave you trouble but it sure doesn't look that way to me!!! These outfits are all fantastic.

I love all the neutral tones in outfit #1 and that dress fits you really well. Gorgeous boots too.

I love the polka dots with the pencil skirt in #2. The cropped jacket keeps your leg line long and the neutral booties do the same.

That hot pink colour in #3 is just fab on you! And those pretty new sandals and jacket bookend each other perfectly!

I'd say you had a pretty fantastic week!

Traci, i have an irrational hatred of jumpers, so i'll let others comment on 1. I really like 3, great colors and the more utilitarian jacket over the girly dress is fun. With 2, the individual pieces are nice but I think you could improve the proportions - maybe a lower vamp shoe or one closer to your skin tone to lengthen the leg line? Or tuck your blouse or wear it with pants instead. Love your hair.

Ah, Traci, I know what those closet battles feel like! I think your struggles ended in 2 very good and one positively fab result. I think #1 is quite a flattering silhouette (and I have a very similar sheath with a cowl neck that's hard to style). You might try layering a button down shirt under this or a scarf for a little color. Those boots are really wonderful!

#2: I actually like the structure of the jacket with this. Sometimes all-black photographs kind of "flat," particularly in low light. I bet this outfit has more texture and interest in real life.

I love #3. The juxtaposition of the bright with the edgy neutral topper is fab. Are those the Clark sandals in Taupe? They'll be really versatile for the summer. Great find!

Traci, I feel like you have a graduate degree in juxtaposition and proportions already! I love your layered sheath in one, and I can imagine what #2 looked like with the cardi instead of the jacket. Spring weather can be really hard to dress for! I love your new dress and sandals in the last outfit! That tough military jacket tones down the girly dress just right. You are SO good (and you look good too)!

Well! That's time well spent, because you look great in all three! I especially love #1 --- something about the depth of colour and long vertical lines, the somewhat conservative, slightly retro outfit with the quirky pendant and the PERFECT bookending of hair and boots, possibly!

The skirt in two is a pull on pencil skirt from old navy. It also came in a wide grey and black stripe. I'm not sure if they still have it in stock.

You are a good role model for me in rocking dresses and skirts - I tend to wear pants exclusively (yet have a ton of skirts). And I knew I should have tried on that dress at ON - I like it better on you than it seemed on the hanger - and paired with tougher jacket it's even better.

Wow, I totally agree with Shannon: You may have had some struggles, but in these pics you look effortlessly chic! I really, really love all three looks! Beautiful fit on everything, fabulous silhouettes, interesting accessories!

I love all of these. Your new sandals are fantastic. I just LOVE a heel that height. Comfortable but gives you that extra presence. And these are nude for you, so leg lengthening, but also a bit tough.

The proportions of all the other outfits are great, too.

Maybe it's tough because coming back from a trip is tough?! You did much better than you think.
