I've been so happy with J. Crew's customer service lately, because they seem so attentive and willing to offer discounts and free gift cards, when something doesn't work out. Here are my three examples and I wanted to pass them along in case you run into a similar shopping situation or dilemma:
1. I bought a silk blouse in one size and needed to return it for a larger size. When I went to the checkout to do the exchange, the SA told me it was now on sale and I'd have a credit coming! I walked out of there beaming.
2. A J. Crew shipment was delayed, due to bad weather, in their tracking updates, and there was no new ship date given, so I called simply to inquire when to expect the package. The gentleman SA said that due to the delay that wasn't my problem, or J. Crew's, for that matter, he offered to send me a $25. gift card, which I can now use on another purchase.
3. Finally, earlier in the year, I made a phone call to buy the blue version of the Thomas Mason for J. Crew tuxedo shirt and I had a friendly discussion with the online SA saying how much I loved the white tuxedo shirt I'd bought last year. When I noticed that the price was higher this year, she told me she would discount it and I received a lower price and free shipping, as well.
I think all three of these experiences has kept me returning to J. Crew, both in-store and online. Hope J. Crew is being good to you, too.
