Thoughts on this BR suit?

Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone has thoughts on this fit and cut of this suit? It’s the Long and Lean Blazer + Ryan pants, both in regular lengths.

Pros: it was a steal, I like the color - a lighter navy, I like that I can turn back the cuffs and show the striped lining.

Cons: pants are not lined, wouldn’t mind a higher rise on the pants, not sure about the length of the jacket. Maybe not as fashion forward as I would wish?

I love the jacket! Looks like a great fit and the lining is nice. Maybe not trendy but a good classic blazer. I'm not as sure about the pants, they seem kind of in between narrow and wide. But I am a holdout and still like narrow pants so take it with a grain of salt.

I think this looks fabulous - maybe more classic than fashion forward, but certainly not dated or old-fashioned. I'd say "timeless".

Jacket is GREAT!

Can you get the pants in a LONG? Also, they look a little tight from the knee down. Go up a size?

It looks like a good , basic, professional suit to have in your closet if you need one. Agree with Angie re pant sizing.....

And wow, I love what I see from Reiss, but the prices .....

Jacket looks classic and like you could dress it up and down. The pant fit at the knee gives me pause though.

Agree with everyone on pants - fit feels a bit off - just a smidge ( wonder if pants will stretch with time and wear ). I think it all looks on the verge of too traditional together - maybe because you are not wearing you fab red boots or high tops/sneakers - I love when you mix your suiting pieces.

Thanks, all! This is very helpful. I think good points were raised about the pants and knees. If I go up a size, I think they will be too big - already big in the waist, but maybe longer would help with the knee problem. It can’t hurt to try, but I might be happier with a higher rise, anyway.

I love that Reiss suit, Angie! I’ve actually had it in my Nordstrom shopping cart for awhile - it would be a big splurge, and I am hoping it might get marked down. Nordstrom only has the slim version of the Hartley pants, though.
I spend most days in jeans and a blazer, but I do want to find a good suit. It isn’t urgent, so maybe I should find one(s) I really love.
I could keep the BR jacket to add to my rotation of blazers...hmm.
